The USLMRA was privileged to have two racers from Norway experience the fun of STA-BIL Lawn Mower Racing. In January 2012 Bud Elmore, Bob Newman and the USLMRA California Crew introduced Johan Golden and Henrik Elvestad of Norwegian TV2 show "Golden Goal" to our sport.
The track was muddy and it was quite chilly that day, but being the troopers they were, the race went on with some of the top racers from the West Coast. As the race progressed mowers were dropping out or getting stuck one by one. At the end the Norwegians actually triumphed finishing 1st and 3rd.We had alot of fun with our new friends in hopes they will return for some 'payback'. We have been in contact and all they keep saying is." that's the best time we have ever had." These two friends travel the world looking for fun and exciting things to do. USLMRA showed them the fun!
