For what new riding mowers cost the companies should use solid rubber tires on the front. I had this problem with my Toro zero turn for a few years and got tired of using a ratchet strap to air up the front tires every spring so I purchased a set of solid rubber tires and I'll never have to deal with this again.
@M Gerberick I purchased them on Amazon. They were about $120 with s/h when I ordered them 2 years ago. Amazon was cheaper than every website I checked. Best purchase for the mower I’ve made.
Yeah it's pretty ridiculous. Even if they just put inner tubes in em it would at least remove this constant issue. Tubeless tires to save less than $20 of cost on a mower they sell for $4,000 is frustrating and it's every manufacturer.
Thank you! I'm a single older woman and thought I'd have to wait for someone to help me because I thought I needed strength to get the tyre back on the rim. I'm off to very happily fix it by myself now!
Thank you for this helpful and timely video! I thought I needed a new tire. Myself and two guys working with me have profited immensely from your instruction. Your video was very clearly organized and the filming quality was great. Blessings!
Thanks for the info! Just got done inflating the tire on my mower. I used a small ratchet strap for compression bc I didn’t have any rope. Worked like a charm!
Thank you very much just used this trick on the rear tire of an older lawn mower. It didn't work at first but after taking the tire off and laying it flat and pushing down on the rim it worked like a charm. Just worked a 12-hour shift and the sun was setting, again thank you
I've been using a ratchet strap to basically do the same thing. However, I like your idea much better. I'm going to try it next time, but I hope that's no time soon.
I”m going to try this trick… I’ve got two tires that went low and now they’re off the rim. I’ve called around local lawn mower shops and they all have said it’s hard to do, one even recommended just getting new tires and rims. I don’t know why they all say it’s so complicated if it can be fixed with a piece of rope and a screwdriver!
