I live in Tennessee where it was also hit hard. I live in Johnson City, but it was hit so hard in Jonesboro, Greenville, and on down. Thank you so much for visiting those people up there. I know it had to cheer them up.

I was born in Asheville and grew up in Maggie Valley. My family is still there and they’re ok thank God. But lots of people aren’t. The people up there are very good people that help out their neighbors and even total strangers. We need to show them the same spirit and support that they show to others.

I agree. When Hurricanes come barreling towards us on the SC coast, my family has always been welcomed/encouraged to join them in their homes in Brevard, Rosman and Toxaway. An Ingles Grocery store even tried to give us our groceries..We declined but were amazed by their kindness! That's the kind of people they are!!

Please don't forget East TN too! Greene County, Johnson County, cocke County, Erwin has been flooded, and it's got a nuclear plant. I'm from the Appalachia Mountains, but live in TX. It's way worse than they're saying on TV! So bad that I'm quitting my n job, selling what i can, packing everything else and moving back to East TN to help my family and neighbors. The $750 better be JUST the beginning, just the very start. Here in Boulder County, after ten years, we are not yet done installing water underpasses that can handle many times the normal. But that was just steady rain for several days. This was an almost incomprehensible mega flash flood. Jeez! So sorry for these people!
