Here is my review of my dinner at Lawry's The Prime Rib Restaurant, located at 3/F, 9 Queen's Road Central, 9 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong.
I liked everything about the restaurant except for the service. It had all the trappings of a fine steakhouse other than the service, which was friendly but sadly lacking in terms of knowledge and expertise. It is for this reason I cannot recommend this restaurant as any person who thinks that this represents the service standard at a high end steakhouse in North America would be mistaken.

How was it being in China during the bank crisis that was reported in the west? It certainly looked like a bit of a palpable scramble, but it wasnt clear how endemic a problem is actually presented to be.

@@trophyfood the state bank, the people’s bank of china, while you were there, limited clients access to their money; including, as reported, refusing withdrawals from customers. It looked for a bit like it was going to turn into a great depression era ism, but i dont keep up current events as well as i should.

@@Tusslrussl sorry, I was in HK and honestly, it didn't impact me at all. I can only speak about my experience but I went out, had food and enjoyed my time there just like every other time I have been to HK. Cheers!

@@Tusslrussl Hong Kong is technically part of China (since 1997) but a Special Administrative Region. It was under British control before 1997. Fairly unique situation in the world and perhaps difficult for some people to understand. But for example, you can enter Hong Kong as a Canadian or American with your passport but if you want to visit the rest of China, you would need a visa.

I have been to Las Vegas Lowrys multiple times and either they dropped the ball during your visit or your review is BS

xcpilot: thank you for viewing my video. This was a review of Lawry's in HK, not Lawry's in Vegas and as you know, there can be quite a wide variation in different locations. I will say that this was during COVID when tourism was just returning and my impression is that this is not the service standard I would receive in North America.
