Laws that wouldn't be the worst thing to implement - Noisy upstairs neighbors 

The issue I have with firing shots is that there is potential of you becoming the annoying upstairs neighbour for someone else making a chain reaction. I thus propose to have mandatory suppressors.

You see the problem with the route of releasing snakes into their apartment and then bolting the door shut is that it is too expensive/difficult for many people. Shooting through the ceiling should be kept as an option in order to make justice accessible regardless of your income or handyman skills

The issue with the shooting up stairs cluase is that then you become the loud upstairs neighbours, so only the base floor would be safe.

I am the upstairs neighbor, I live on the third floor of my apartment building, and I actually have anxiety that makes it impossible for me to step loudly anywhere unless I slip and almost die of violent head trauma. People who let their children stomp everywhere deserve a trip to the Sarlacc pit where they die in excruciating agony as dehydration and stomach acids ravage their bodies for days.

I actually live on the top floor of my apartment with my gf,and God I feel absolutely terrible for our downstairs neighbor, I always try to be mindful and keep quiet, while she'll have no issues stomping around and using a vacuum at 2 am

Due to covid we have to take exams at home during Uni. One time I was trying to do a home timed exam which could not be restarted and my upstairs neighbour just kept banging every five minutes, constantly distracting me from my fucking end of term exam. You know what is sad? The upstairs neighbor usually has an upstairs neighbor themselves, so if it's a 3 floor apartment or something, and you're in the middle, I suggest you immediately go into protective custody.

I would like to propose a law that requires a minimum amount of sound insulation for every floor/ceiling. Otherwise, the noisy neighbor could certainly sue the building owner for fault.

It was exactly this that made me happy that my apartment actually asked me if I wanted top floor or bottom. I picked top. I live alone, no pets except when I dogsit my mom's quiet and small 15lb Shih Tzu/Bicchon Frisse mix. The floor does have several soft spots that creak, though, as the building is old. I try to walk quietly and will even walk completely around them most times, which probably makes me look crazy, though admittedly sometimes I forget or am too lazy. I try to tip-toe or walk softly to counter those times. I threw away my old bed when I moved in last year and when I did get a new bedframe and mattress, after 9 hours of building the bed, it was past two in the morning. My mattress required up to 72 hours to inflate, so I didn't sleep on it. I had an air mattress but forgot to inflate it. It only had a wall pump...which sounds like a vacuum. I slept on the floor that night and woke up with terrible back and hip pain, but guess who I did not disturb? My neighbors (my bed build got a bit noisy at times already, I didn't want to create any further noise). I'm also single so that bed isn't squeaking or hitting the wall 😂. I also never want children and don't like being around them so I don't see them walking (and stomping) through my home. I turn my TV down if it goes beyond volume level 8 (especially when watching anine) and usually just watch things on my phone with earbuds. I am probably the absolute most considerate and best upstairs neighbor anyone could ever ask for. My neighborhood was so quiet to me when I moved in compared to my prior place, that I didn't even want to vacuum the floor. Took me 5 months to finally do so (it was also already clean when I moved in). And yes, I want a medal and a cookie for all of this 😂

I have an upstairs neighbor who yells profanities very loudly while he watches sports, all the sports. Right now it's baseball, last fall it was football, and also basketball. There is no rest for the rest of his neighbors. Yes, he's just a 20ish year old guy who will probably grow out of it, but I want to go with the snake route for him. At least when he yells now, I know that the screaming will eventually stop. As long as the snakes, and/or spider are not harmed, and returned to their habitats as soon as possible.
