I have a question when they lifted the moratorium on evictions, at least here in Southern California we were told that we had to agree to whatever the landlord offered and that if we tried to speak to the Judge that we would have to go to court that very second and would not be allowed to gather any evidence or witnesses that would prove our case and we would most certainly lose and then we would have an eviction on our credit report and we would not be able to find another place to rent, isn’t that considered duress especially in a courtroom atmosphere where you are agreeing to something and signing an agreement????? Because the free legal help that was provided did that very same thing and I believe it was done just to try and clear the docket of backlogged cases?
