LAY '飞天 (Flying Apsaras)' Dance Practice Reaction!! 

my friend who's a choreographer was actually mesmerized by the precision of this dance and told me that these steps may look simple and easy on audience's POV but is actually very difficult when you're the dancer, esp the synchronization.

there's no MV because Lay not satisfied with the final result of it.. that's why he only released 40s visualizer for that song.. but that 40s also worth a movie 😅😅 Lay is that perfectionist.. also Lay is a passionate learner and a versatile dancer.. this time he mixed traditional and modern dance in his choreo.. and the details on their moves are hard to execute.. you really need balance for that.. pls react to his other MV too.. like Namanana, Sheep, Lose Control.. thank u ❤️

I don't know why you think they are not in sync maybe because they are not aligned, elevated positions, in succession or different directions but I believe they are in sync. Specially with Lay's strict standard that all lies in his core value/element = BALANCE!

I dont know if we r watching the same thing dudes cause if that is not in sync then I dont know what sync is. It is called intentionally choreographed for god sake, each person is asssigned one specific movement to create a bigger image. All ppl doing one move is history ==

Appreciate you sharing an honest reaction. To me, this is one of the best dance practice videos. Would be great to have a full M/V one day, when Lay decides it is ready.

I challenge u get professional dance group and try to dance flying apsaras with in-sync and upload it on yt. we will judge. guys u need glasses. this is hardest to dance. even dancers agree. but u too idk. go and check ur eyes bro

Let me explain the choreography here: This is not one of those synchronized moves choreography. This choreography consists of dancing on different beats. Each small group of dancers were assigned a particular beat to move on which creates bigger image. There are some parts of the song where all the dancers and Lay match each other on the same beat and do similar moves and that's the synchronized part of dance in the song. In lame man's language, this choreography is not supposed to go 1,2,3,4 - 1,2,3,4 for all the dancers at the same time. That's old school now. Dance styles evolve with time too. Also, this style of dancing needs a lot of core strength, body control and balance. It is not easy to execute. Imagine controlling your core strength and body balance and still remembering when and which beat to move on. It is exhausting. I understand you guys are not dancers which made you think that they are not in sync but they were absolutely in sync otherwise Lay, a perfectionist himself, wouldn't have uploaded this video.

Come on guys. this is not in SYNC? maybe i don't know the true meaning of SYNC or we didn't watch the same video. Because in flying Apsaras dance practice video, everyone is in perfect harmony at every moment. Even their height and body shape are similar to each other and everything happens exactly in place and on time. if this is Not In SYNC..then the word SYNC is meaningless to me.

Thanks for the reaction. You guys should definitely check out the Flying Apsaras visualizer. It’s like a movie, very artistic. Lay spent a lot of money (heard that the budget is over a million usd) on the Flying Apsaras mv. He flew 150 staff members and dancers to the desert and a well known world heritage site called Mogao Grottoes, also known as Caves of the Thousand Buddhas, to shoot the mv. The Flying Apsaras are often considered a symbol of the Mogao Grottoes, painted in Mogao caves 1600 years ago. In the dance practice, Lay incorporated many traditional dance moves and gestures painted on the caves. The reason for him to release only 40s visualizer is because, as he said, he’s not fully satisfied with the rest of the mv. I really hope he’ll drop the full version soon, but I respect his decision. As we all know, Lay never settles for less.

Lay wasn't satisfied with the mv so he made it into a visualizer. He wants to always make the best for us and to him it wasn't the best. Which is already mindblowing👀🔥

Zhang (Lay) Yixing's purpose in this album was to introduce China to the world using cultural dance, traditional musical instruments, and the collective beauty of its people. This is what M-Pop and not K-Pop means.

You know nothing about dance( because you said Lit and Flying Apsara had kinda same kinda choreo, which is not because in Lit he did krumping while here he did traditional Chinese dance/also i can find some similarity with traditional indian dance but krumping and traditional dance is whole different thing ,people literally start learning traditional dance from the age of 3-4 ,this is how difficult it is.And you are saying they are not in sync and you are disappointed!
