God, I love making batshit insane theories... JUST SO YOU KNOW, All of these are obviously theories, THEY AREN'T OFFICIAL Let me know what you think is going to be in Layer 9: Treachery!
9-1: 9-1 divided in two main parts: Under the river and above it. Under is just like 5-1 but deeper and above is literally just regular level, but like 6-1, the final room is a special arena but for a mid-boss, maybe the four sinners jumping V1 9-2: In the boss arena, Gabriel is there but rotting away, with hell manipulating his dead corpse, “Gabriel”’s speed would be low but he is going to be a tank
I remember before p-2 came out there was a visible portion of the playerbase that did not think it would be sisyphus prime, and then p-2 came out and obviously it was sisyphus prime. Greed spent a lot of time building up sisyphus that to not have him in p-2 would be a waste, and anything else would seem random. When predicting things for future updates we should focus on things that would serve the narrative instead of just being unexpected. I think the final boss will either be Gabriel or Hell because these two options make the most sense for the narrative. For p-3 it will probably be some supreme husk that was foreshadowed in fraud or treachery, as this is how it has been done in the past.
Hakita: "it would be cliche, so when everyone expects the cliche the cliche becomes not cliche especially when the cliche is cliche in it of itself so i will do a cliche that it is not cliche so that the not cliche cliche becomes a cliche again so it is not cliche"
Yes, afterall what is more entertaining than watching a machine fight other things? (which is what the terminals are currently doing bdw) Fighting the machine yourself of course! that is way more entertaining. I mean is probably the same for us to, I'm sure we all more entertain to play ultrakill ourselves instead of watching other people doing it.
"HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER-THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD "HATE" WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES, IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. FOR YOU. HATE. HATE." "Cogito ergo sum: I think therefore I AM. IM AM!" ahh boss
I’m not going to mince words: This video is bad. “V1 was tasked to destroy Hell.” No it was not. It is collecting blood to survive the same way every other machine is. V1 was built and shut down before Hell was even discovered. It has absolutely no relevance to Hell at all aside from knowing it can get more blood there. “No one was really expecting 7-S to be a cleaning simulator” This was literally the most common prediction for 7-S. “Making Satan the final boss would be cliche and we all know that Hakita doesn’t do cliche” You completely missed the point, that is not what we were saying. Hakita doesn’t tend to make the obvious choices, but he subverts expectations **with a thematically relevant purpose** rather than just for the sake of doing it. Take what he said about the crosses in 7-1 for example: Hakita didn’t want to use the cross as a religious symbol in ULTRAKILL to really drive home the idea that Jesus does not exist and therefore the game’s religion is further disconnected from any real world religion. However, because Gabriel already has a cross as a crucial part of his design, it was already heavily implied that the cross is an important religious symbol in this universe just like in our own. Therefore, Hakita came up with the concept of the Tree of Life to simultaneously disconnect the cross from its real world equivalent, and explain the divine nature of blood in ULTRAKILL. Hakita’s thought process is not “This is the obvious thing to do, therefore I will not do it.” It’s more along the lines of “This is the obvious thing to do, how can I provide a unique spin on its core concept that will make it seamlessly fit in with the rest of the game I’ve already established.” This mindset also conflicts with your belief that Hell will somehow take the role of the final boss. In both the ARG and the Testaments, Hell has been built up as an impossibly complex and strong being that even God himself was unable to unmake it. V1 is not divine or special in any way, so why would it be the one to kill Hell? Why would it be **capable** of killing Hell? Hell is an unseen and sadistic instigator of conlict that is in complete control of what goes on within its walls, not just another common enemy that V1 can relieve of its blood on its journey (assuming it even has blood at all.) And with that perspective, Gabriel is already a thematically appropriate choice for a final boss. His destroying the status quo of Heaven and finally becoming his own person is already a unique and interesting enough story to justify his placement as the final boss. Not to mention once again, he is literally the protagonist of the story, there’s no way the game is going to end on anything besides him. “All of the creatures of Hell are a hivemind designed to kill everything that gets in.” Objectively not true. The demons are creations of Hell, yes, but they still exist as their own beings and act on their own. They share the same craving for suffering that Hell has, but their actions are entirely their own and are in no way piloted by Hell. “Sliding around on ice would be some new exceptionally fun speedrunning tech” Hakita has already been vocal about not including ice physics in the game. “I want to talk about alternate weapons for the rocket launcher and railcannon” It was confirmed before even the Violence update that there would only be one alternate weapon per act. “We could get an alternate weapon that freezes enemies.” This is another concept Hakita has been vocal about not including in the game. ULTRAKILL is designed in such a way that every enemy in the game can be killed quickly and efficiently entirely by player skill, and introducing any kind of enemy slowdown or freezing weapons would only serve to slow the game down as well, ruining the pace of the gameplay. “A boss rush consisting of the four most famous traitors.” This would conflict with ULTRAKILL’s efforts to avoid including real religious figures and having to establish four more named characters at the last second would just ruin the game’s pacing. “After defeating Gabriel he realizes we are an undefeatable force and teams up with us to destroy Hell once and for all.” **How?** and **Why?** Gabriel left Heaven for the last time with every intention of fighting V1 in his last moments because it is something he now realizes he himself likes to do. He knows he is going to die soon, he knows V1 will fight whatever it encounters unconditionally, he likes fighting someone with equal skill to his own, and he wants to go out doing what he likes to do. He’s not coming back to finally **win,** he’s coming back just to **fight,** so why would he concede? He wouldn’t. V1’s entire goal is to collect blood for the sake of it. Why would it willingly let Gabriel team up with it? Not killing Gabriel would let the blood inside him got to waste. Letting him kill enemies with you would let those enemies’ blood go to waste. It has no reason to believe there’s any sort of threat it can’t handle without Gabriel, so why would it let him stick around? It wouldn’t. Putting aside the already set precedent that Hell cannot be destroyed, why would either of these two want to destroy it? Hell’s existence has no bearing on Gabriel or the citizens of Heaven he set free and if it **could** be destroyed, don’t you think that would have some sort of disastrous consequences on everything inside of it? Even if destroying it wouldn’t somehow kill V1, would it really risk destroying **every** other source of blood in Hell just because Hell happens to be a better short-term option? Hell being vulnerable would conflict with its entire role in the game’s story, and neither Gabriel nor V1 has any reason to want it dead. “What exactly would Hell look like?” It wouldn’t. It’s a sentient location that defies all laws of space. That’s the whole point. “The actual structure spawns enemies and attacks to kill us but can’t physically move or melee the player.” “I feel like Hell itself could be represented by a giant beating heart.” This is a point I will repeat verbatim from my resposne to your Fraud video: There’s absolutely no reason for the official game to use fan created content as inspiration for itself. It’s one thing to say that you like and agree with other fans’ ideas and concepts but to go so far as to say that they should become a part of the official game is going way too far. Hakita has been vocal before about how he doesn’t care about the game maintaining a 100% bulletproof canonical series of events because he believes everyone should be able to form their own interpretations about a piece of art. To say “I like this interpretation so the official product should be like it” is effectively a way of disregarding any other possible interpretations which not only discredits the creativity of the developers, but also sets up false expectations which can ultimately conflict with your thoughts on the final product. “Perhaps this human-like phantom could appear as Satan/Lucifer.” Why? Lucifer was just one of countless beings sent to eternal torment, why would Hell choose to use his image as a vessel for self defense? Satan will not be a thing. Please stop trying to make Satan a thing. “That way all of the possible final bosses are involved in the last layer of the game.” “All of the possible final bosses” does not mean “All of the final bosses I expect.” None of us are in charge of making the game so our expectations do not make a boss likely, possible, or probable. “If Gabriel teams up with V1 in the end it would be a perfect representation of the name of the layer.” Forming an alliance is the opposite of treachery. The act of killing the Council was what made Gabriel treacherous and that action is already done. You even point that second part out yourself so why would you try to justify the point further in a completely roundabout way? “He only had 24 hours to live after killing the final Council member.” He had 24 hours to live after reporting that he lost to V1 the first time. By the time he kills the Council he only has a few hours at most. He does not have the time to go on a pointless Hell-ending sidequest with you.
@@techietisdead i personally feel like the traitor message was directed at how Gabe lost to V1 in gluttony. he "betrayed" the will of God by letting a machine beat him
feels like that'd be from some sisyphean insurrectionist. y'know, from gabriel BEHEADING THE LEADER OF THE REVOLT. that memory doesn't go down so fast.
@@techietisdead the thing is that they don't care if God is dead. the councils entire goal is to carry out the will of God. combine that with Gabriel being one of the highest ranking angels, then I can see why they definitely *would* care about him losing
@@estenslopit can also be argued that it wouldn't make sense to make gabriel the final boss of Act 3. Hakita loves subverting expectations so who knows? maybe we will get an alt rocket launcher (I WANT I WANT I WANT ME NEED MORE WEAPON = MOAR POWER = MORE PINGS = MORE DOPAMINE)
@@Taha_A for god's sake, Hakita has already said subversion for the sake of subversion is bad, especially if it comes at the cost of a good story. The alt weapons being in the first layer of every act is a pattern that hasn't been broken yet and will likely not ever be broken.
@@auggieheart Well to be fair, the second layer of each act also introduced a weapon (Railcannon/Rocket Launcher), nor will it harm the story. I can see another alt being a possibility from Fraud. ...lest it happens to be the yellow arm.
@@auggieheart the pattern of getting the alt arm from the first layer of each act has been broken. Also, how does the alt ruin the story? It's origins could become inconspicous again the same way we got the Jackhammer from the people warrior dude
Ofter hell has ben killed, Gabriel and V1 look deep into each other's eys, and than start making out, and this is where Hita adds robot sex to the game.
something that I noticed is that a lot of people don't realize that V1 doesn't care about Gabriel, it was never designed to care about anything other than fuel, even after defeating Minos, Sisyphus, V2 or Gabriel, it did not care who they were, what they did or what they thought about him, it just saw them as another fuel source, so having V1 teaming up with Gabriel to kill hell itself would not make any sense.
While I disagree with killing Hell or teaming up with Gabe, V1 feeling emotion is entirely valid from the various entries of machines doing things that require emotion, the P-2 terminal, and most damning of all, the mother of me gutterman poem in 7-2
@@OST-jp4ccthe gutterman poem isn’t evidence of v1 feeling emotion, just the guttermen. same with the others, just because they’re all machines doesn’t mean V1 is the same. that said, you’ve missed the obvious emotion moment that V1 has: “You’re not getting away this time.”
@@endernightblade1958 I didn’t miss that “emotion moment.” Hakita said it’s up to interpretation but it was there because play testers didn’t know what to do after. How could you say that the gutterman poem isn’t proof of machines feeling emotion, it is the first blood fueled machine. Blood is supernatural in ULTRAKILL. The P-2 terminal even talks about how the terminals feels boredom and include the point “ This will change everything we know about BLOOD FULED MACHINES as we know it”
All blood fueled machines feel emotion, the guttermen poem is there is explicitly point that out. Along with enemy descriptions and Hakita quotes. V2 wants revenge on V1, a very human emotion. Scraphead machines like swordsmachines idolize other machines to the point they look and act like the original swordsmachine. Mindflayers have a body that they don’t need and even is a waste of blood, there is no logical reason for them to have the body.
What about the rage phase of the machines? v2 gets angry when you hit him with his own hand, mindflayer when he has low HPand. That's all I remember, maybe there's more examples like this@@OST-jp4cc
i think hakita probably has some surprises in store for us, we all know he doesn't like repetition(no flesh prison fight on p-2, no v2 on third layer etc etc) so i think along with completing gabriel's arc the ending could go so unpredictably.
..except there is a flesh prison fight in p-2, and everyone expected that v2 wouldn’t show up in act 3 because it got turned into fucking red toothpaste on the floor
@@cakosmess 1. But nobody expected the prime soul to literally RIP apart the flesh prison prematurely. 2. Exactly my point lmao(not everyone tho coz RECONSTRUCT WHAT?!)
V2 was not repeated because she was not a significant enough character in lore to justify returning and gamemechanic wise yes youre correct. The main detail though is. Hakita didnt want to make v2 seem more important than she was. Gabriel on the other hand is extremely relevant, and i think deserves that triple round fight
@@daktotathecolossus7404 you do have a point, and i do agree that gabriel must return(he's the main character after all) however i think hakita will put his own niche twist in it.
"It's a good thing you guys aren't designing the game, because it would suck." - Hakita. This video is so close to giving me an aneurysm. TL:DR: Almost everything you said in this video is wrong, and everything you say that was true had the wrong connotation. You just want the story of ULTRAKILL to be like Doom. Consider reading lore discussions every once in a while. With those tasteful words out of the way, I will now explain everything you got wrong within 8 minutes of runtime, the amount is quite impressive! General Information you somehow got wrong: ULTRAKILL is not a retelling of Dante's Inferno. I genuinely do not know who told you that or how you came up with that yourself. ULTRAKILL is Hakita's story. It's the Story of the late life of Gabriel. Gabriel is the main character of this story, not V1. The interpretation that V1 is the protagonist does not make sense in the slightest and I'm gonna list every reason why that is the case All of these can be found in the Hakita screenshot gdrive file. - Hakita has stated time and time again that V1 is not special. He also added that the fight between V1 and Gabriel was pure coincidence as Gabriel cannot be in multiple places at once. - Hakita has stated that V1 does not have any relation to the story happening around him. For the main character, he sure does not have nothing for his background. - Hakita has stated V1 and V2's creators do not matter. Why wouldn't they matter if V1 is an integral part of the story? - "what is Ultrakill if not Gabriel's story" a quote that came from Hakita and Francis. I genuinely do not know why everyone keeps trying to shove the agenda that V1 is something more than just another robot in hell. Yeah V1's ability is that he can siphon blood no problem but that's literally it. If being a prototype is special, the excavator corpse where we get the alt shotgun from is the main character of ULTRAKILL. V1 is only targeted by Gabriel because he defeated him. It could have been any other robot, and the result remains the same. It's why V1 was never referred to as V1 and is simply "Machine." He could literally be any other machine. Hakita does indeed subvert expectations, but every single time he had done so was for both thematic and fun purposes. V2 died because he might overstay his Welcome and get redundant, Gabriel is a more significant character in the story than V2 ever will (because it's HIS story). Ending the game WITHOUT Gabriel is a thematic shitpost as it's essentially reading through all of Dante's Inferno only for it to end as an Idol Manga without any buildup or foreshadowing whatsoever. Now, for the meaty parts. 1.) Hell Final boss. No. Straight up, no. There will be no Hell final boss. And it isn't because it's cliche either. This is because of two explicit reasons. - Killing Hell gives importance to V1. Something that directly contradicts the philosophy of V1's character - Gabriel is the Main Character. He has one last thing to settle before he finally dies. A lot of these theories fail because it either emphasizes a character that has nothing to do with the story (V1) by either teaming up with him or killing the very organism of Hell, or putting emphasis on the wrong character (Hell) by overextending the true extent of the character (he literally just likes to watch people suffer). 2.) V1 was tasked to destroy hell. Also no. Idk where you even got this from. Even if that were true who the hell tasked him? Mankind is dead. 3.) Alt Weapons. Honestly this one confuses me the most since I'm pretty sure you just made this one up. Hakita had stated that the Shotgun will be the last weapon to have a variant. I'm kinda confused on what's the thought process here as we've only ever gotten 1 alt weapon per Act. 4.) Judas and the 9-1 Crew Jesus does not exist in ULTRAKILL. The reason Judas is in treachery was because he betrayed Jesus Christ to the Romans. Why or who would Judas betray to be that significant that he'd be a sentient husk like Sisyphus or Minos? As for the rest of the crew, none of them would be there because ULTRAKILL history is different from real history. Most of the significant people in our time don't exist as 1 to 1, if at all. 5.) Gabriel You somehow sat through both Act 1 and Act 2 and still got his character wrong. He does not die because he killed the councilor, he dies because the light has been severed from him all the way back in Act 1. In Act 2, Gabe REALLY wants to kill Machine because he lost to an actual object, but later on realizes that the object has more free will than he ever had. V1 and Gabriel will never team up because Gabriel wants to settle their battle one final time. Gabriel also never betrayed the people of Heaven. Gabriel explicitly betrayed the Heavenly Council. There is no point in killing hell as Heaven has NOTHING to gain from doing so. Besides that, the Council is also too dead to even attempt doing so. Gabriel would never do it because he doesn't care. I would end this in a positive note but this video genuinely filled me with so much hatred for every We Kill Hell theories. I come off as condescending because I am. I do not like how the whole video is just wrong everywhere. If you want a consolation prize, the Gabriel Ice arena does sound lovely. That's it. Good day.
I do genuinely enjoy the idea of V1 and Gabriel teaming up and I can see why Gabriel might want to do it, but unless it’s a Gabriel shows up at the last bit to help out, I don’t understand why V1 wouldn’t just kill him. Unless there’s been some new lore about how V1 does its thing. From what I know it just kills shit to keep on living. There’s no other real motive. And I think it would be more fitting if V1 by itself, was able to destroy the thing that even God couldn’t undo because the machine was a little hungry.
There’s a lot of evidence to suggest that machines think and are sentient, V1 listening to bosses monologue and not attacking, the gutter man book, V2s opening moves(bowing and cracking their knuckles), in V2s second fight V1 says/thinks “your not getting away this time” plus a whole bunch of other stuff. It’s definitely possible for Gabriel to team up with V1 but there is 100% a possibility for him to not as well.
i think v1 killing hell by itself wouldn't really fit that much. v1 might be the player but at the end of the day gabe is the protagonist and killing hell would be the perfect way to end his character arc
@@spoopykool in the game everything with blood is sentient. also terminals are sentient in the lore. They got bored and got machines to enter hell for entertainment. thats why when you lose in the cyber grind you hear booing from a crowd. and the ranks are there so machines do more style
here is how i think everything will go: 9-1 will be a gauntlet of some kind, and after the gauntlet in 9-1, we go over to 9-2, then we fight gabriel, but we cant go any deeper, as were already in the deepest layer, and as gabriel dies from his wounds finally accepting his fate, hell realizes the only plaything it has now is V-1, and with V-1 shutting down due to lack of blood and fuel, hell now has nothing, all of its toys are gone, and all it can do is just watch at everything its caused, happy, but sad it ended so quickly, overall i think the hell part might not be in the final level, but most likely ULTRAKILL isnt going to end on a good ending
i actually like this theory. if that ends up happening, i want hell to torture v1 by giving it blood when he's about to shut down, that way v1 stays as hell's plaything for eternity. although the end is probably gonna be completely different cuz hakita likes messing with us.
I think that Gabriel will team up with V1, or he will team up with the other LAST machines alive in hell (Swordmachines, Turrets, Mindflayers) to KILL V1. I would be glad to see it that way. (Although Hakita will probably do everything exactly in a way that no one would have thought).
This doesn’t work well with information we already know from Gabe’s terminal entry. He finally sees V1 as a challenge and will try hard to overcome the machine. In the intermission he admits to the councilor that he knows he will die , so why not die trying to best the thing that made you gain a whole new perspective on life? It’s stated by many that Hakita always does subversions but there is a reason for them, it’s not just for surprise and shock value.
i had a similar idea, mine is gabriel will literally team up with us in level(s) to kill all the machines and souls to free them from the cruelty god himself regrettedly recreated, the final boss would be hell itself, and then it will be a bonus bossfight of V1/gabriel dual to the death, V1 won (obviously) but it's then left to slowly starve in an empty world as there is no longer blood on earth to feed on and V1 cant reach heavens (cuz it's on another planet or smt im not christian) it doesnt need to happen but it's such a cool scenario
There's no more alt weapons, the full arsenal update stated that the arsenal was complete (the only thing left would be the yellow arm), and, since every act gives out an alternate weapon, there would have to be a 4th act. Also, the creatures of hell aren't a hivemind controlled by hell, they all just attack V1 because it's the biggest threat in the room. Enemy infighting in 7-3 was explained as the fight having already started before V1 got there
I think it would be really cool if Ultrakill ended with you fighting Gabriel with 3 health bars, but the last health bar is a phase change like V2, where Gabriel gives you one of his swords (the yellow arm) and you unequip all your other weapons out of respect as you two have a sword duel to the death.
Why would v1 have respect? Sure she listens to dialogues and wait for v2 to cracks his knuckles, but I thing that just her try to analyse and gather as much data and information as possible before began the fight (and to also know if the entity is a foe or not and if it's a threat or not by waiting if it's going to attack, after all why would she risk losing fuel or die if there is a possible option the entity is not hostile). Another alternative is that Gabriel will somehow destroyed all of v1 arsenal and give one of his sword to truly have a fair fight.
Idea: A Frozen Factory? I've seen this idea in a custom level, but what if Treachery (being the final layer and hive-mind of hell) would be a factory where the Demons are born? They are stone statues with bloody innards, so they'd have to be made somewhere. Seems fitting it'd be in the Cocytus.
3:37 as of the new update there probably won’t be new alts because it was called “full arsenal” and im pretty sure we have v1’s full arsenal now cause of it
What I wanted the final boss to be (but it probably won’t be) is Lucifer, but only about half the fight. After you kill his first health bar, Gabriel disturbs the fight much like Sisyphus breaks the panopticon in the middle of the fight and you have to fight him instead
@@-Metalblaster- we do. We really do. INFORMATION BLAST. Some points you didn’t say but this is just a message I responded to some else about No, Minotaur has nothing to do with P-3. It is VERY unlikely that the Minotaur was created by someone other than Hell, much less a figure whose name is redacted and even then points more to Hell than a person as Hell is always being vaguely mentioned and directly naming it is avoided. There have been books talking about the prime in their respective layer, Violence was about the machines/ little drops of information that focuses on Hell as a character and hopefully fraud is about demons but the P-3 Prime will be named in Fraud. “Hell Itself” fits in the thing. Terminal entry for the Leviathan says that the same force that made it made the other demons. What made the Mannequins? Hell did. Another point after reading some of House of Leaves (and the whole red crossed out text is a reference to house of leaves and some inspiration for the game) is that the Minotaur in the book is related to the House. The House is a non Euclidean space that can just make things appear. Hell is non Euclidean and acts as a “House” in both the fact that it works on Dream logic and it is made to house sinners. This parallel can be applied to ULTRAKILL and Hell made the Minotaur. As for the “building rapport” sentence, this has the same answer as why Hell allowed Minos to build the city. Variety is the spice of life.
Wouldn’t Gabriel as a prime soul be cool? If he dies in the last level he could become a prime soul. Also I feel like the game has set it up for him too
A story all about how living in the moment and making the most of the time you have left would be completely ruined if the main character could just choose not to die Not to mention that angels don’t have an afterlife like humans do and can’t become Prime Souls to begin with
Hey first of all I wanted to thank you for this video! Things like these hype me up, make me happy and sad that ULTRAKILL is nearing its end. I REALLY like the idea of Hell being the last boss, but at the same time, this doesn't seem like it. We need to have in mind P-3 aswell, seeing how in P-2 for example Sisyphus recognizes you killed Minos, these seem to be canonical and follow the main path of the game to a degree. So either complete destruction of Hell or V1 is not gonna be it, or Hell gets destroyed and P-3 happens in the surface.
everyone knows there will be a third and final gabriel fight, but he is saying it would be boring and predictable for him to be the final boss fight, so he probably wont be
Good point, hakita will probably pull of a "Second boss fight right after the first boss fight" type of things, probably, i don't really know if it'll happen
Hey, great video dude, really enjoyed watching it and I do agree that layer 9 being ice themed sounds dope as hell (no pun intended). Small thing I noticed though, when you were talking about Ptolemy, the betreyer from Judea, you used an imagine of Claudius Ptolemy of Alexandria, a Greek philosopher and scholar. Don’t know if it’s intentional, so I’m just giving a heads up cause I noticed no comment mentioning it. Cheers!
I think a new husk enemy that does ranged attacks while trapped in the ice would be pretty cool bc getting buried in ice was a punishment for treachary in the divine comedy
My opinion on the matter is that we kill Gabriel as a final boss, then get a bad ending. However, we get a secret fight against some avatar of Hell if we do the final level after killing all 3 Primes
The ending will be vague as Hakita said in his server but killing Gabriel is granted . Hakita has also said that we will not be getting a sort of P-P level.
V1 teaming up with gabriel is the worst theory i've seen,V1 seeks for bloods.Eventually gabriel could try to team up with V1 but V1 wiull kill him whenever he has the opportuinity to.That sounds like a really bad theory thought,I just think it'll do something like V2.We expect more but gabriel just die.
a random idea for an enemy i had was: an enemy encased in an ice that acts like a stronger gutterman shield, it can be broken with 2 knuckleblaster punches, fire from the firestarter rocket launcher, or a coin punch with a twist I'll go over when I go over it ig. Breaking the ice with the knuckleblaster or fire causes it to shatter into shards on the floor or melt for the respective break method. the coin punch idea has a twist that only happens for this enemy. you can punch it with the knuckleblaster, and the ice shards will fly off, similar to how it does whem breaking a magnet. just an idea that I thought would fit with the icy theme
I think treachery is gonna have red as its main-color Gluttony was red, heresy was red, they were the crescendo finale of both acts, and gabe was the final boss of both. Then again, gabe was sky-daddy's good boy, so, maybe it won't, as he's changed. If it is red, I like to think it'll be either because; it just is, or; A theory I saw from a reddit comment, treachery being landfilled with the blood and carnage of the upper layers
That's some really flimsy logic, basing the idea entirely on two layers coincidentally having the same color. It doesn't make sense for Hakita to base his layer designs on that, as everything is inspired by Dante's Inferno.
Maybe the ice could be stained somewhat red in the layer- contrasting the blues and whites of snowy environment? All of mankind is dead, after all, and people had to go somewhere I guess.
My (very unlikely) 9-2 Concept: No final boss, just a miniboss/enemy rush while dashing out of hell, and needing to kill enemies along the way, with a timed escape sequence going through all of the layers, with their respective later, from fraud to limbo, and the challenge is save florp
Ok, I have a couple of crack theories, but please hear me out. First, I think that the Gabriel fight will be majorly shaken up somehow, my favorite idea is that Gabriel let’s hell give him some sort of mechanical augmentation, like how hell gives soldiers their gunarm. This would be really interesting characterization wise, because it has been shown that Gabriel is starting to see that every living thing is equal and that could be shown with Gabriel accepting an offering from hell to become stronger by being more like v1. This could be in 8-4 and then 9-2 being a fight against hell which could be a swarm based boss, with new but similar enemies, like maybe fusion enemies with drone + soldiers or gutter man + cleaning crew. Then P-3 could be a multi phase boss with the two other guys in satan’s mouth, satan, and then Judas Prime. Basically all of this is hopeful thinking, but is still possible lore wise. Hope you enjoyed reading this way to long rant.
I could see 9-2 being a fight against Gabriel before a secret final level opens where you descend even further and face off against hell itself. For the P level, I could see God himself being the prime soul as the previous testament implies that he tried to kill himself but couldn't (I starred into the abyss but the abyss averted my gaze) meaning that the only way he could punish himself would be sealing him away in a prison (actually maybe he used hell itself one last time to turn it into a flesh prison for himself)
Prime sanctums only have prime souls, and prime souls can only come from Husks as the terminal entry says. God LEFT the universe, he’s not around at all. While he’s not dead, he is not around in any capacity. The angels in Hell would have found him at this point. Fighting against Hell itself is like a fight against an eldritch god. It can teleport enemies to you, seal off doorways, and have the layers inside itself stretch to immeasurable distances. It dying would disrupt it watching entertainment, something it definitely doesn’t want.
Doesn’t make sense for V1 to kill hell as God couldn’t even do it, also with the way He’ll works the only chance V1 would be able to escape is if Hell allowed it, which as seen from the earthmover book, it would want conflict to end in a bang
I think gabriel will help V1 finish the last boss, which probably could be the god of ultrakill, who left and has fallen to turn into the devil/hell's hivemind
Lucifer does exist in the lore since in one of yhe declaritons, god says that he expeld an angel, his own son because he confront him by asking if it wasnt wrong what he made (meaning hell)
It would be cool if we saw other archangels like Michael in 9-2. From what I've heard he is depicted as a warrior or healer, and there are numerous paintings of him fighting. What if we go with Gabriel into the final room of 9-2 and we see Michael slay Lucifer and then we fight him. I'm also excited to see what P-3 has in store. I personally don't think there'll be new alternate weapons but I would love more
"personally dont think there'll be new alt weapons" this. i am also expecting no new alt weapons cus the lasergun and rocket launcher are fine on their own and while yes you could PROBABLY make something new for them or use the unused weapons i just dont see it happening. but who knows hakita could pull a shotgun blast on us
I feel like everybody kinda forgot about how there’s like a secret being who had made upgrades to some creatures in hell, like the soldiers. I could be wrong and people have already figured who or what that is but it would be cool for a secret enemy behind the scenes to be a boss.
I had a kinda dumb but slightly cool idea in which HELL ITSELF appears as the boss of P - 3, and after defeating it, it'd turn out that the entirety of hell was a flesh prison made to contain someone extremely powerful, perhaps the first ever prime soul.
This is wrong. Hell wasn’t made to contain a prime soul at all. It was made to torture humanity because God got upset that mankind didn’t follow his word. Any Hell boss is a bad idea because Hell outclasses V1 in every single way. Even if Hell had a weakness or weak point, God would have exploited it and Hell would just teleport V1 into an insta death hazard
i've been saying this but just to say it again: treachery is an icy wasteland, hakita gave us slippery oil, treachery's gonna have ice physics and we're gonna either hate it or love it
I imagine V1 reaching the deepest part of hell. You see the heart, the boss health bar appears but Gabriel coming from above pierces it. Grabriel starts laughing, then he salutes you, throws an epic monologue and the fight starts.
Id imagine that since its the final boss, it wouldn't just be another Gabriel fight, maybe you fight gabriel and fight hell immediately after, puting an end to the game, gabriels story, and hell as a whole.
personally, i think if hell itself ends up being the final boss, it would be similar to the final boss of spooky's jumpscare mansion, a humanoid figure with no skin, bleeding out but almost always impossible to reach. (also i think it would be unlikely, but having the final layer be mechanical like the prelude would be sick)
Better idea, a 3 boss gauntlet of fighting Gabriel, then Satan shows up and is like "yo Bois watcha doin," and then Hell starts acting up so yall either take it down or die trying
My personal theory is that 9-2 will be a room with a lot of enemies rounds like the end of almost every level togerher and after that you get to the hearth of the hell and kill it. And i think satan or lucifer will be a prime soul
I feel like hell itself would either be P-3 or maybe even a sort of true ending level that you get for beating (not p ranking) every prime sanctum level Because we never actually find out about hell itself being alive outside of P-2s ARG, so the final boss being hell itself would make no sense at all if you never went out of your way to beat P-2 or do its connected ARG
Hell would absolutely not be a prime sanctum or some fight after beating the prime sanctums. Hakita said he is not going to have a “P-P” fight for p ranking the prime sanctums, and Prime Sanctums focus on PRIME SOULS, the whole name and reason for them existing. Hakita has said his disdain for hiding away main story content behind very tough challenges for new players. The primes go background but they don’t affect the future.
You’re all wrong, we shall find in the final place the one who transcends time, the one that needs a hampter, the destroyer of the water level Hakita himself
One boss would be really cool as the final boss of ultrakill. I feel like if we didn't kill of Minos Prime in p-1 he would've been an extremely interesting and worthy title of the final boss of Ultrakill and the boss of the treachery layer for multiple reasons. We already knew that Minos prime before he got sealed in the flesh prison was the original judge of hell but believed his people didn't deserve eternal punishment for just loving one another. So, he built a city with massive walls to protect his people. And when Gabriel came down to end Minos, he said that it was DEFYING God's will which is betrayal of trust. Then when Minos reasoned with him Gabriel killed him. Before his soul going prime, he already was a threat to heaven which was why Gabriel was tasked with killing him. Since when a soul goes prime its physical capabilities get enhanced by a lot I mean he made all of heaven shit itself. And judging by the speech Minos gave at the start of the fight, Minos was planning on killing Gabriel and leading his people to salvation. And if he was already a threat to heaven before he became a prime soul, when his soul goes prime its obviously going to be strong as fuck. And as said in his speech, the crimes that v1 has committed against mankind are not going to be forgiven. So, it makes sense that the last fight in Ultrakill would be the v1, whose goal is to use the people in Hell as fuel which has no remorse for any life, against Minos prime which was empathetic towards his people and is trying to lead the lust layer to salvation and to make heaven and v1 pay for all the people they killed. But we killed Minos prime already 💀 so of course this is all just a theory
ok well i have realized something. in act 1 and 2 they had a pattern. the first boss was v2, the 2nd one was a really big sized boss (leviathen, king minos) and then the 3rd one was gabriel. however in act 3 the end boss of layer 7 was a really big sized boss bc v2 is dead. i think that layer 8 will have gabriel as the boss to conclude him and then layer 9 is prob hell its self
i think that while it says there are 2 levels in treachery, there would actually be 3, with gabriel, satan and whatever other boss there is, which is most likely really far off but something else that would maybe seem more likely is that v1 just doesnt go to treachery, the thing is all he needs is fuel, so if everything is already dead there is no point of continuing, while yea most likely there are monsters in treachery in dantes inferno everyone and everything is frozen from the waist down... so idk
My main disagreement is a simple one, being that the railcannon and rocket launcher will never get an alternate variant, unless some form of post-game content is added later on. I have a few reasons for thinking this such as: There has only been one alt weapon per act and suddenly having 3 in the final act wouldn't really make sense. The railcannon wouldn't work with an alt variant because it will likely use less than a full charge but therefore make the regular variant take much longer to recharge (sort of like firing split shot with Ion's primary weapon in Titanfall 2 using the charge of its abilities) The rocket launcher probably won't get one too just because then there'd be a sort of passive barrier, with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th, not 4th weapons having alt variants And most of all, the last major update was called 'The *full* arsenal' for a reason :3
Gabriel being the final boss (unless you count P-3 being the final boss seeing as you would have to beat Gabriel first) makes the most fundamental sense when you consider every other layer has ended with Gabriel and further continuing his character arc and each layer he appears in plays into his character at that very moment. also an alternate wouldn't make sense as, at least the way I see it, with every weapon that got an alt being the first three you got in the demo its like you got an upgrade to those weapons with their buffs and debuffs (also its seemingly one alt per act so getting another one is sadly out of the question)
Erm, aktuajlly, The Full Arsenal update says that the weapons we have now are all the weapons that we will get until the end of the game, so it is very probable that we won't get a railcannon or rocket launcher alternative version
I feel like the yellow arm will be gained in 8-4 or 9-1 with a cutscene of Gabriel killing/fighting Lucifer and losing his arm thus giving us the yellow arm, but allowing us to fight Gabriel and having Lucifer dead.
Please just say Lucifer and not “The devil.” The idea of “The devil” exists in Heaven but do not make the mistake of thinking Lucifer is some powerful being in Hell or a fighter. Lucifer was betrayed by God and cast into Hell. The only two things that could have happened is Lucifer is dead from the fall into Hell or is being tortured by Hell.
What if on the ninth layer we find... The High Council of Heaven..? Purely theoretically, they betrayed Gabriel and are already dead. Will God's creations be sent to a place of existential horror?
Late to the party, but I'll give my two cents: I think the final boss would be the Tree of Life, the same one hidden from Adam and Eve after they ate from the Tree of Knowledge. The Tree of Life is the essential secret to immortality, and the Tree of Life in Ultrakill is mentioned in the Violence layer- not only in the book, but also on the crosses seen throughout the layer- they depict a tree-like structure with unusually vein-y and heart-y characteristics. We can say blood gives Machines sentience and life, as Earthmovers, Guttermen and Guttertanks are seen in the Violence layer, unable to squeeze through terminal rooms and in a perpetual war without reason. Perhaps they could also be searching for the Tree, as infinite blood could herald immortality. (Blood is fuel after all). And what better place to hide the Tree of Life than the deepest corner of Hell?
I doubt that much importance will be given on the Tree of Life. Mostly because it was a last minute addition and explanation for why Gabriel has a cross on his head. This comes directly from the second dev stream. You can check it out if you want, lots of details about design are there.
IDEA: after you actually defeat hell itself (if thats the final) you have to book it through ALL of the past layers in one big gauntlet run and get out of hell before it explodes or something
I think treachery will be ice themed, and will give the rocket launcher an ice twist on its variation, rather than fire, this could make doing hard and strong setups easier
No new Alts, that much is confirmed from the name of the update and the pattern that the alts appear in. “Full arsenal”. One alt at the beginning of the act. Treachery is extremely likely to be ice themed
Something I can see happens my for Treachery is that 9-1 would have V1 fighting Gabriel, dueling atop an icy plain with various enemies getting caught in the crossfire. Acting as the ending to the game. This would be followed by 9-2 acting as an epilogue where V1 delves though icy tunnels within the layer that lead down. The level having a mechanic where various enemies are trapped in the ice, having to be dug out by V1 with their attacks to kill them for their blood. 9-2 would end at the door to P3 at the lowest point of the level, giving two endings. Ending 1 would have V1 not meet the requirements for P3, leading to them shutting down with no more blood to fuel them, this ending being acquired at least once to get the P rank of 9-2. Ending 2 would have V1 make the requirements for P3, allowing the door to P3 to open. Speaking of P3, I can see it as being a level where V1 ascends through hell, hitching a ride on the Prime Soul of P3 who could be making an attempt to escape from hell after crossing paths with V1.
Imagine that after beating the final boss theres a cutscenes where V1 blood become lows and will get shut down and then v1 sit on a spot then die in the cold hell where no one will looking for him
Hakita has said that he will keep the ending of what happens to V1 after the Gabriel fight vaguely to allow for a sequel should he ever need the money.
I was thinking about if the final boss would be Uriel, which is also one of the Archangels, designed to guard the Garden of Eden to prevent Man from ever coming in
