For those who are confused, let me explain: this game not only is a remake of the past 2 games and the Inheritance, but intertwines them into a single game with a new additional story added as well. This new story will tell the tale from the Artist’s Wife’s perspective. So yes, there’ll be new content in the upcoming game. (That’s what I gathered.)

I remember a long time ago playing the first Layers of Fear and absolutely loved it, I wasn’t really into horror games. But I had an Xbox one and downloaded the trial and ended up getting the full game cause I liked it so much. It was really enjoyable, definitely looking forward to this one.

"Reimagined" because it'll most likely be from the wife's perspective. Not in reference to the mechanics or jumpscares or atmosphere.

@@starsetanatomy4885 From what I gathered, and analyzing the trailers, I have a VERY bad suspicion that its the first two games on the new Engine, with minimal extra content at BEST. Remember...trailers are misleading and tend to show the best parts as if its the entire game. The stuff from the wifes perspective, I'm *guessing mind you* will be DLC content...a very small mini chapter or something like that.

@@river_acheron You might be right but I am biased in terms of these games. I don't have much of a leg to stand on with arguing because I'm not super into horror games and most people I know personally don't consider me a "real gamer". The controls are simple and the atmosphere is attractive to me. I happen to love these games so I am just excited to be hearing about something new from the developers.

@@starsetanatomy4885 I adore the games as well. Some of the best horror I ever experienced. I just wouldn't be that excited by a re-release with minimal new content. Oh I hope I am wrong! I want an actual 3rd game sooo bad. I was one of those that actually liked the 2nd one a bit more than the first

@@river_acheron From what I’ve gathered on the website it seems like Layers of Fears is taking the stories of the first two games and tying them together, like connecting the dots and making them intertwine I guess.

OHHHHH SHIT I Will PLAY This GAME I played through the first game about 6 times. and also the DLC. I love to move like in a ghost train to be scared and to look at the whole atmosphere. I hope it's like the first part. Part 2 was ok but running away from opponents is just not what you want to expect. But you are a super cool team and that you can generally manage something like this is just great. Big kudos to you all thanks. 😊😊😊🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

It looks very promising but Silent Hill announce is even more exciting :P Please pay attention to technical part because PC version of System Redux was in horrible shape due to vsync issues.

The trick of turning around to find a shift in perspective got old by the second half of the first game. When it constantly happens it gets boring. This game needs some actual threats.
