Funny isn’t it, been following you all since the beginning then your house renovation. Feeling really proud of what you’ve achieved ! All the work you guys do is top notch. Hope Mrs A is happy. Kindest regards Mike ❤️
Ah thank you, Mike. It's been a long couple of years I've got to be honest...getting there now though! Thank you once again for your continued support, Mike. Hope you're well.
Don’t worry about the grass mate. That and any seed go dormant bellow 5° anyways. That times is coming fast and patch it rather than seed, that will keep the weeds out. Cut a bigger patch than you need and cut away the roll already down. You don’t want to put a slither in if you’ve goat a spare roll. Keep off it and cut in March/April next year.
I used to work for a landscaper who wouldn't use a piece of turf smaller than a foot. In hot weather the small pieces just shrivel and die. Carter is right about don't seed it. The grass is likely to be difficult than the turf. Glad to see it coming together ❤️
What a great transformation! When do think the container will be brought over? With the gate being replaced with more fencing I remember you saying a container was going on the outside. I bet the wife loves it!!
lovely job buddy but im sure i can still see a hole in that gate! on another point i always found belting the yung uns with a cricket bat kept em on their game. HOWS HE !
The garden is looking good, nothing wrong with laying turf in the autumn, its mild enough that it will still be growing and will take root. To get a smaller blend of slate chuck it in the mixer with a couple of bricks for 20 mins and it will tumble it down.
I think there’s a genuine problem in today’s world of the younger lads not being able to deal with constructive criticism. I learned more life lessons from my old gaffers when starting out than all my years at school. The lads today just can’t take it the same which is a shame as it’s a great motivator. Garden looks great. Always feels great getting the wins from stuff taken off jobs. Have a great week all 🏴👍🏻
Nice one mate. I really like Harry, he's a great lad with great potential. Hopefully I'll be back on Christmas card list soon! Thanks again, take care.
@ There will definitely be a time when he realises it’s a lesson learned & he’s better for it. Nothing wrong with expecting a decent days graft when you know they’re capable of it. From what we see on here, I’d love for my lads to learn from the team at Mr A & I’m sure a lot of the other viewers would say the same 👍🏻
The garden is looking pukka Adam. Nothing wrong with laying the lawn in October/November as it’s still mild, just keep it wet for 2 weeks and give it a minimal cut after 4 weeks. Very enjoyable video 🙂👍
@ yes first or second week in December should be fine as long as the lawn is established. For the very first cut, have your mower set to the highest setting and only remove the tips of the grass, chose a day when the grass is dry or slightly damp and make sure the rotor blades are really sharp 👍
A splash of bleach, fairy liquid and hot water watered on with a watering can with a rose end on is all I ever use. A quick scrub with a broom then wash off the next day with a normal hose. The fairy sticks the bleach, allowing it to kill the algae overnight.
The garden looks ace Adam! Lots of graft and recycling of materials which is a good way of doing it. I know what you mean about it not working if you change hands! 😮😉 I roared at the dribbling sprayer, it happens when we get old! 😂 Have a great weekend and see you next week at the bungalow.
We laid limestone like that - it needs, probably twice a year, a coat of Essential Limestone Sealer Colour Boost from Stonecare to maintain the colour - the slabs fade.
Best intro ever !! Better soundtrack, and better legs than Rich and Matt too !! Joking aside, it's great to see you getting that garden project on the move again. But where is the mandatory chappy shed going to go ?? !!
There's no way anyone is beating Matt in the best legs stakes! Phase 3 of this project will be the delivery of a shipping container for the driveway...the mother of all sheds!!! Cheers mate, thank you for watching.
Sometimes in life you have to be cruel to be kind, best learning earlier, rather than later, The Garden is looking great.. only thing now is you'll need a shed for your mower ???
Adam ,enjoyed garden video - good progress - never had much success with turf, hope yours turns out better, what plans do you have for the gate access to your compound? will you be doing a makeover on that as well - it would be the best bit for me! is Richie doing the joinery on the bungalow roof or do you have someone else doing that? Regards, Nick (Southampton)
Hello mate. Thank you for getting in touch. Yes the compound bit will be well documented, don't worry about that! Also, Rich is doing the roofs, that video will be out next Wednesday! Take care mate.
The grass is fine, it's the brick 🧱 pattern on the ends of the planters that's bothering me😂. Perhaps you should do a video about that.........oh hang on😜
@@Mr_A_Builders sadly not, now you ask. No further details, but you did ask. But your videos keep me entertained. Keep them coming. I need the distractions to keep me going. I love the quality, the care, the attention to detail that you guys put in to jobs. Cheers me up no end. I love seeing the jobs that you take on and deliver, takes me back.
another wicked video Adam and don't worry about Harry to much it's youngsters they don't like the truth they tend twovtake a disliking to it hopefully you will sort thinks with him but loving the garden m8 ten out of ten buddy 😂😂😂😂
Looking good Mr A , but your broken slate is a ready made home for insect life , that will be a problem for any kitchen inside or out, good if you like crunchy burgers.
Clutter? You mean building materials? You would have skipped building materials in order for the site to be tidy then you'd buy them again when you need them? You've got some money you have!!!
@Mr_A_Builders I rarely hang on to stuff as I find there is never enough to actually be useful. If I ever take out half decent salvageable stuff like upvc doors, period timber pannel doors, Belfast sinks, victorian cast iron bedroom fireplaces etc then I list it on ebay with a short auction and buyer collecting. Very easy to get swamped with stuff too good to throw that gets piled up otherwise.
Sounds like you gave him the hair dryer , thought he would take take like the good old days but like any modern footballer he told you to shove it lol , hopefully You will make up
