I'm glad you say it's like a devotional because I plan on working it into our group bible time and was thinking about adding one more book with scripture reference for the same things too. I saw a review for instructions in righteousness that might go well with it.
Thank you for the flip through :) I didn’t realize it was available as a digital ! So much cheaper for me to buy and print myself than buy and try and it ship it to my location woot woot 👍🏻
I pulled the trigger on this one finally. Your video helped; I wasn't finding many reviews on the program! ... side note: where did you get that five-stone ring?!?
I'm feeling nervous about this because I'm recently out of a cult group that the Prophet of the group also had a book all about raising children (how to dress, behave, character traits, control, and so on) to be perfect so as to earn/keep their salvation. I feel hesitant that such a book falls along those lines. Cultic doctrines what to control behavior (how one acts, thinks, dresses, behaves) and just feel afraid this might be something like that, but we definitely work on healthy boundaries with children and I think Obedience, truthfulness and attentiveness all sound like very important attributes to have apart of ones family. Thoughts?
We are very clear about works not getting us into heaven, nor being an indicator of our worth. A lot of the habits are focused on general good behaviour and hygiene. I totally understand the fear of legalism and works-based salvation but I don't get any of that from this curriculum. In our home, we strive to follow God's law because we love Him, not because it makes us less sinful or earns our way to heaven. I hope that helps! :)
Oh also what age did you start? And when do you think it starts clicking? My daughter is not quite 4 so I figured on starting around 5 when we start kindergarten
We started when my eldest turned 5 and my next is almost 4. I think it is the perfect time to start because you can circle back to previous habits when you need to.
