I agree with the people about this video series compared to Udemy courses. This gentleman really makes things clear, and you learn from him. You're not just pausing the video constantly to catch up coding to the guy on the other courses, and then having to listen again to actually understand what he is trying to teach. Great work!!!

Hi do you prefer linear layout over contraint layout? And why ? As it seems to me contraintlayout is somuch easier you just drag the objects to where you wanted them to be and set contraint, and there is no need to created multiple layout inside the contrainstlayout. Though I don't really understand how contraintlayout work and I understand 100 percent now how linearlayout work, did you and would you make a video on that

Sweet video! Was really useful to dip my toes into Android Studio before a class assignment. I really value it when the video is explained this calmly, but also this concisely. That way, I can make it anything from 0.5x to 2.0x for it to go exactly at the speed I need, while being perfectly understandable and holding my hand along the way.

Great video. Just want to clarify - if layout weight defines how much of the screen the view uses, is there any reason to also have the layout width attribute be defined as wrap-content like you have in the video?

Bin gerade mit der Materie konfrontiert und ziemlich verwirrt. In Java kann ich ein GUI bauen und doppelklicken --> dann sage ich dem z.B. Button was er zu tun hat. Abgesehen vom Parsen/getten/setten, was auch verständlich ist (falls nötig) komm ich dahin wo ich hin will. Aber es liegt glaub ich an mir, ich komm mit der Sprache nicht zurecht. In Java hab ich alles von Anfang an....d.h. Ich muss hier jeden Schritt vorgeben. Beim Android kommt mir es so vor, als ob die Entwickler es leichter machen wollten aber nicht auf logisch denkende Menschen gedacht haben. hier wird sehr viel vorweg genommen und wieder (meiner Meinung nach) komplizierter gemacht. Vielleicht bin ja auch ich nur zu blöd um das zu verstehen .... Wenn du eine einfachere Lösung kennst, kannst du sie mir gerne mitteilen! thx
