I did some base scenery around the west bore of the cascade tunnel, a single engine westbound double stack train. We also take a look at my rapido -8 locomotives that have an issue with the idler axle on both trucks that don't roll very well. looking for a fix on those. A couple of helix specifications answers and a couple of other things. Thanks to everyone who checks out my videos.

Excellent portal/scenery scene at the beginning. Can't wait to see it painted/covered with trees/rocks/etc. Rock carvings and coloration look excellent.

@KandWRailroader thank you I appreciate the kind words. Scenery is my favorite aspect of the hobby and photographing it. I'm excited to dive into the actual Scenery part. Stay tuned for videos of that topic. Though it may be a while till I get there but it will happen.

@@dundasjunctionmodelr.r-jam8267 thank you. 90% of my benchwork is put together with pocket hole joinery. It makes everything super easy. Thanks for the sub.

Very nice layout! You will have so much fun building it. Question: why not join the Y back true the back drop connect it again with the dubbel track on the other side? Or drop it down and have a extra staging under the layout. Gives you a extra turnaround. Love to see this build go further!
@Adam.J.Reynolds
@Adam.J.Reynolds 2 месяца назад
@Yuristinkens I had original planned to use the "Y" to go to a lower level staging but due to the benchwork next to it the grade would to steep to clear the benchwork. As it stands now the tail track off the "Y" will be an interchange with another railroad. I already will have 2 reverse loops on the layout. The "Y" is mostly to spin power.

@@Adam.J.Reynolds eather way with a layout like this everything is already a blessing 🙌 Still with so mush room in the end you will need lots of staging, your sure you can't modify the branch work to have the track dropped, now it's still possible iff you have it all done your in for a treat 😉 I love free building with some references to a prototype. Unfortunately in Holland we are not blessed with big basements and big garage to do something so nice. Enjoy the build I will enjoy watching the build, cheers

@Yuristinkens thank you I've seen some pretty cool loft/attic layouts. That's the beauty of N Scale is that you don't need a large space. This is the largest layout I've ever built.

Looking really really good! Is the aqueduct bridge fixed in place? Looks like it is, do you find that makes it more challenging to paint/add scenery around it? First time viewer - Liked & Subscribed!
@Adam.J.Reynolds
@Adam.J.Reynolds Месяц назад
@edtoomuchfun957 it's held in with two screws and the glue for the ballast. If I need to remove it, I can just cut the track and cut through the scenery. I still need to build the bents. It's not super hard to work around. Thank you for subscribing. I'll have another video up this coming week.

Maby sand the wheels down a little bit so there's less drag on them so they spin more freely maby you won't get drag and flat spots I realize you shouldn't have 2 do this but maby it's a great fix

Impressive layout! Looks like a lot of work, but for sure will be all worth it in the end. Hit the Subscribe botton so I can follow along :-) I also always enjoy when people do N scale as there seems to be so much H0 these days. I started to build a tiny switching layout in N scale on my channel right now, let´s see how this goes.

Nice. Subscribed, what made you switch to digitrax over nce?
@Adam.J.Reynolds
@Adam.J.Reynolds 2 месяца назад
@keving126 The wireless options were cheaper. That and a really good friend has loads of digitrax equipment that he was buying from ebay. He loaned me a booster and a throttle to try out for a while, and I ended up really liking the wireless throttle. He then gifted it to me. So that's why I switched. Thanks for the subscription.

I have a similar helix (yours is nicer) used Atlas sectional track - 18.25 R I believe, made it easy.
@Adam.J.Reynolds

@marsfromrexford I actually have two on the layout. I had to build one of them 3 times until I got it right. So the second helix was easy the. Thanks for the comment. Don't be afraid to build someone over to make it bette.
