Looks great with trains running on it. Don’t worry about the Bachman track, sometimes it’s just easier. My layout is Kato, the connection and good and it is really faster to put down, and if you to change things its not that hard.
Surprisingly very well, some of the cars in the mixed freight train have been known to jump the tracks, so I take it if I can run them around for about an hour and no problems, it’s pretty good. Thanks for watching!
Very nice update, Kyle. Nice to see your bench work for the layout. I’m also using Bachmann tracks. Would be nice if Bachmann can create a yard ladder to where it can squeeze more lines in. Are your engines all Scale trains?
Thanks Drew, yes it would be awesome if bachmann would come out with different verity of track, but they also appear to a smaller audience. The two B&O painted units are scaletrains and all of the Chessie painted units are Atheran Genesis.
Looking good Kyle. Runs smooth. Do you need any more Bachmann track I found a box. There are 18" curves, straight, short straight, some turnouts and some track elevation piers. Let me know and I'll send it to you.
Definitely will if needed, thank you for that. I think I’ll use atlas for switches and flex track to create yards and industrial tracks. I’ll see what I can do though. Thanks for watching!
Thank you Sion, it’ll take some time and planning to come up with something that’ll keep me happy and busy. But will be fun either way. Thanks for watching!
Late 70s - early 80s, so basically 1977-late 1981. Most of the consist will probably be EMD units considering that’s what I mostly remember seeing on the B&O in my area. Need to find a crane for that work train someday. Thanks for watching!
@@kylestevens6925 Kyle. Thank you,was curious on your timeline but figured had to be in the 80's,lol. Noting the motive power . Chessie had some interesting M.O.W equipment worth modeling. Got a soft spot for M.O.W equipment. Probably gonna be my next builds. Got a couple ideas. Have a safe and happy 4th Kyle.
the footprint looks very similar to my old one, 7x9? I am building a 4x8 furniture grade layout right now, custom table, sanded, stained, varnished, with the layout as a recessed insert. When some better space opens up (I clean out more of my family's junk lol) I plan on doing an around the room shelf-style layout with a point to point configuration that has a hidden staging yard behind the backdrop for continuous running.
@@Rebecca_The_Dragon quite honestly I’m not sure on the dimensions of the layout. I would love to take over more of space, but the family restricted me on what I can have. Thanks for watching!
That layout is coming along good!! You gotta make the best of what you got! I’m thankful I have the room I have!! Btw those walls look bare Let’s get a chessie painting going for those walls!!! I’ll give you a great deal lol I’m bad plugging myself like that lol so are you only doing dc? Or do you have the sound off??
@@AppalachiaRRlover dcc mostly, I do have some models that run beautifully on dc, so those probably won’t get dcc for a while. Definitely want to get some Chessie art someday, but just can’t do it right now. Thanks for watching!
