Layover Tips for Travelers: Don't Miss Your Connecting Flight!!! 

Great tips! I most often have layovers in Paris, going between Africa and the US or Africa and Europe. I prefer layovers that are between 2-4 hours for the Paris airport. That gives time to get through security, etc., and get a drink, snack, or maybe even a meal. We don't do less than two hours, although we've had some really long layovers. We've only missed one flight because passport control was so backed up that it took hours to get through. Many people missed their flights, so then there were long lines to rebook. (We were lucky and got another flight later in the day.) We almost missed another one because our flight from the US to Paris was late, but then our connecting flight was delayed as well, so we made it.
