The LaZer Monaco is a welcomed new addition to RevZilla.com and brings to the table several unique features for a modular helmet. The Monaco Carbon Fiber is the lightest modular helmet on the market and even the Pure Glass (fiberglass) version is remarkably light. Another huge feather in the Monaco cap is the inclusion of the Lumino Transitions Faceshield that darkens when exposed to UV rays. Previously, only Bell helmets offered the Transitions shield and it's great to have another manufacturer embrace that technology. The thing that makes the LaZer Lumino stand out over the Bell shield is that the Lumino is Pinlock ready. This eliminates the need for an internal sun visor and also contributes to the overall weight savings. Although it might not be the most quiet option on the market, the Monaco in both the Pure Carbon or Pure Glass versions are impressive modular helmets and may even make a convert or two out of those full-face helmet folks.
