So beautiful! I agree that your tried and true method of taping off for striping works best. So crisp and vibrant. That chunky cutting board is just amazing!

The only problem I have with all of these videos is that I was greedy and I watched way too many of them at once. I wish I would have forced myself to watch just a few at a time because I'm almost all the way caught up with your entire playlist. They are two wonderful and I enjoy them so much. I'm definitely going to rewatch several of them! I love what you do you've been such an inspiration to me and have helped me kickstart myself to really get my business going. I admit it; I gasped when I saw the paint hit the butcher block piece I actually hit the pause and wasn't going to watch further, but I had faith and watched on. So glad you just gave the top the oil treatment. It is stunning and you're right about the contrast.

Yvonne…. That Butcher Block cutting board is GORGEOUS ! I thought it was gorgeous when you starting painting it black…but leaving that top wood… OH DELICIOUS! I have found through my years of stenciling, that the pouncing method is the most true. For those wide areas, I really off load a lot of paint and work from center to outer edge. I haven’t tried my JRV Grain Strip one yet, but through my years of stenciling I have had many wide areas and that is how I have done it. Just some little food for thought. BUT… Your taping ones can’t be beat … so clean and crisp 👍 I would stay with that method… so pretty and clean! I love the red one ! “Tis the season 🌲” They are all so beautiful. I have one that is Oak that was a gift. Never had a place to use it. Our granddaughters use to place their Princess dolls and Strawberry Shortcake Dolls on it now spin the heck out of it 🤣🤣🤣🤣… Dolls were just flying and they were laughing !!, Our oldest granddaughter is soon to be engaged to the grandson of the man who made it for me! Ironic right 😁 Best keep it the same…😬 Another nice video lady !! ❤️❤️🌲🌲❤️❤️

You’ve inspired me to pull out my turntable collection. I painted and sold a couple in my vendor booth several years ago but closed booth and saved the unfinished turntables for the future. I’ve since retired and getting ready to go at again! I can’t handle large pieces any more but I do love thrifting and painting. Your videos are perfect for me. Professional but not overly complicated. I’m going back through your previous videos.

I love a good lazy Susan. I put them everywhere! I was blessed to pick up several this summer at Target in their dollar or two bargain spot. I did one for my parent to keep coffee cups and drinking glasses on the counter and within their reach. I still have 2 left. I love the red one and my son and his wife accent their kitchen with red. So, I guess red it is! I did grain sack striping for the first time yesterday. It turned out pretty good. The edges were a little rough looking, so I sanded them a bit. Thank you for sharing your techniques! I have learned so much from you and Chris!

If you do a light coat of the background color 1st it will bleed that color. The you do the color you want, and your line's will be crisp! You probably already know this tip, but just thought I would share. Beautiful work as always! Love the black distressed.

Your work is beautiful. I live in Indiana and I have yet to find a lazy susan in a thrft shop around here! I think that if you perfect your technique, you will love that stencil. When you stencil, tape it down. Do two coats. For the first coat, use the base color or mod podge to seal the edges to prevent bleeding. When it dries, use your preferred color. Try dry brushing as well. You have a lot of paint on your brush.

This is my tip for stenciling-always wipe off your brush with a paper towel. You literally should use a dry brush very minimal paint. The bleed thru means u have too much paint on your brush. Also don’t swirl the brush-use an up and down motion. Hope this helps, blessings 😎

Yvonne, I feel like you're still using too much paint with the stencil. Try using a paper towel to remove the paint from the brush. Dip the brush in the paint, swirl & push the brush into the paper towel, each time taking off more paint. Till the brush is pretty dry. That's the way I learned, & there is no bleed at all even with a thicker stencil. Try it, it works! ❤💚❤
