I like your set up. Its given me some ideas for some changes and different stuff to try out. I just got one of these vests to updrade my basic LBE that i used for hiking. Its got much better shouder strap pads than the Y-suspenders i was using plus I needed the mag pouches for some colt 32 rnd smg sticks. I can fit 6 per side. Some people remove the grenade pouches but for my set up they dont really get in the way and they're great for small stuff like keys, compass, lighter, etc...
I appreciate it, I did change out the bino pouch to a spiritus jsta pouch for more storage. I haven’t had the need to go to a full butt pack yet but that would be my other change if needed. I’d figure this lbv was still viable in the land of Gucci chest rigs
I made one a year ago similar, USGI gear on ebay is slept on, back in 2020 when the whole Larperator stuff started and im proud to be one I bought gucci gear and I wish I can take my money back, and just but GI surp, I upgrade a taps system and a lbv with molle melt haha many cool ideas with gwot stuff
Please dont take this wrong but you might want to get in shape before taking that out in the field. Either for training or for real life combat/survival. What did you do about the grenade pouches?
In my opinion [ I'm not an " expert " ], you have your priorities backward. All of your water is on your ruck. If you drop your ruck for any reason, you no longer have water. You have sustainment items on your 1st line gear [ socks etc. ], they aren't 1st line priorities. Just my 2 cents.
Yea your correct on this statement. I need to do an update video on this system I did add water and a couple different pouches from spiritus to the rig.
