Sadly, we had a great house here in the USA that was allowed to fall into ruin. It was called Whitemarsh Hall. There are old pics on line taken from an air plane in the 1920’s. All the fireplaces were made in France and brought over on the Aquatania ocean liner after the Armistice was signed in 1918. All the bronze dorè hardware, and chandeliers….all from France. The statuary was by a man named George Leon Grabier and his Son Jacques Grabier designed the parterres. The upper mantles were all made in London, and several were taken from great houses in England who’s time had ended. The beautiful house recalls Whitemarsh Hall.
This is one of the most beautiful homes in France. I went through it in 2009 and it's stunning both inside and outside. Many of the rooms inside have beautiful wood paneling and the whole house is beautifully maintained. The entrance with the fountains is one of the best water features at any chateau in France. It's in Vernon, and is fairly closeby to Monet's Grand house in Giverny.

yes indeed it is a very beautiful house that is partially open to the public. The castle of Bizy is a residence that stands on the territory of the French commune of Vernon in the department of Eure, in the Normandy region. The castle is partially listed as a historical monument.
