This role and maybe Solor, are the only two roles that I can stand to watch Ruzimatov. I never cared for his cartoonishly exotic line, or his androgynous aura onstage.
his flamboyance was far more contained in his very early career, in fact he was sublime. But over the years the flamboyance became more exaggerated, the hair got longer, and the pants got baggier!!
