Очень мощно, здорово, красиво, профессионально.! С детства обожаю балет, фигурное катание, хоккей и биатлон, смотреть, естественно и ещё лёгкую атлетику. Но такой "балет" я вижу впервые. Очень нравится. Браво! За труд! За талант! За упорство.Да ещё с юмором. Смотреть, одно удовольствие! Тем более всё это исполняют мужики
And they're en pointe! Fantastic. It must have been agony. The humour belies the hard work that must have gone into this. Agnes Tomorrow I saw them a few years ago, and party if the act was the second act of Giselle. A ballet I will never be able to see, because I am fairly certain that you are NOT supposed to laugh hysterically the whole time. It takes amazing skill to walk such s fine line between comedy and ridicule, and they manage to do it brilliantly. Even if my list of 'true' ballets keeps shrinking because of les Trocks...
I haven't seen the Trocks perfrom in decades. I got to see them once. Amazing. I think the Joffrey (when there was a Joffrey) Ballet did this piece ages ago, so that's why I know it.

Это компания комедиантов, их цель - пародийное исполнение балетов разных жанров, насмешка над нравами и бытом артистов - словом, над тем миром, в котором они живут. Но, выступая в женских ролях, надевая пачки и туники, парики и женские головные уборы, приклеивая ресницы, танцуя на пуантах 42 размера, артисты «Трокс» совсем не хотят выглядеть женщинами. Имитируя женский танец, они и выглядят мужчинами, танцующими женские партии. И в этом откровенно мужском исполнении женских ролей, в пародии на манеры балерин и нравы закулисья артисты смешны, забавны, словом - комедианты.

Ich habe selbst klass . Ballett getanzt. Was ihr für Leistung vollbringt auf der Spitze - grandios! Das ist Höchstform der Travestie nicht zu überbieten. i meant to say that your information as regards the revival of the Grecian Bend in connection with the introduction of the Bustle and the Polonnaise in the early 1870's this time heavily aided or forced by grotesque corseting also happened in England. I found your comment about the American version very interesting

Bravo! So many clever parodies here. "Taglionis" costume with all the jewellery is a parody of Callas costume in "la Sonambula" which agaiin was based on Taglioni . (maria said " but i am playing a poor peasant girl!" The reply: Nobody is coming to see a poor peasant. They are coming to see Callas playing a poor peasant! Taglionis walk or promenade is a parody of a fashion known as The Grecian Bend- a walk de rigeur with fashionable women .around 1815 and lingered on and off until the 1870's

Their feet are suppose to be floppy and not stretched right? I know it's comedy so like not rolling through your foot seems a little dangerous but if it's all for comedy then that's fine. I know they are professional ballet dancers so they must have beautiful technique, if they danced seriously. Right?
DellaRsg yes, and I can count I think 3 men and one woman. Honestly I can be sure but I'm assume all four of them are men. That adds to the comedy. Pretty damn good for professional male dancers en pointe.
Its better when they let their chest hair grow out. I saw them in Calgary a few years ago. It was fantastic and hilarious from beginning to end. I saw that many dancers from the Alberta Ballet were in attendance.
