He was blessed with the Universal joke and most honurable soul.

I remember seeing this at my local fleapit in 1980. It was a 'B' feature to the main program. I laughed so hard that to this day, I cant recall what I actually saw as the main film. I think this film ranks alongside Steptoe & Son and Hancock's Half Hour as Galton and Simpson's best work.

What a masterpiece! LR was a genius.

Recall that Mel Brooks played Governor LePetomane in "Blazing Saddles."

Rossiter was a great actor
