The concept of Shatter is Medusa! That’s why it ends so abruptly- because they turn into stone.

I think the chorus represents the violence of what happened to Medusa. The entire verse is her begging for help and guidance and wanting to be free from the curse. The chorus is when she lashes out and turns people who come to hunt her. And at the end everyone here turns to stone. Except Siyeon who is the one who looled at them and turned them to stone while taking a knee slowly.

With Allergy, Soyeon said in an interview that she was worrying about something she has battled with - when she started her career, she had a lot of hatred for her looks from netizens and was often told that she wasn't good looking enough to be an idol. The songs begin talking about Instagram and tiktok because both platforms are full of "beautiful people living beautiful lives". I love that idle are not afraid to be open about these things, and that the mv shows that not everything is as it appears. Notice that the person who is hating social media at the beginning is Minnie, the influencer everyone is looking up to. Purple Kiss are so good but have struggled to get the attention they deserve. They debuted at the beginning of the new wave of girl groups from the big 4 agencies which I do not think has helped. They are one of my favourite groups and have some really excellent vocalists. They did change their sound on the last album, possibly to appeal to a wider Korean audience. I'm really going they succeed, but they seem to be having very similar challenges to those that Mamamoo did when they began with RBW.

Purple Kiss is my ult girl group for that exact reason... they have a sound that is totally unique to them. 😊 Not to mention every one of their b-sides is fantastic. Best way to experience PurKi (imo) is by listening to their discography start to finish... they've had a maturity to their music right from the beginning, as well as being beautifully diverse, with production that is seriously top notch and always interesting. 20:50 Yes, the MV storyline continues in QueenCard. I really love how (G)I-DLE did that. Not shying away from the subject. The lyrics in Allergy, honestly, who hasn't felt like that. So relatable. I love the message. I think Caitlyn said something like that about 'Allergy' in a 'Save One, Drop One' after she picked the other one. I would recommend watching the 'Queencard' MV, to continue the story. Whatever you may feel about those 2 songs(Love, Like, Don't Like), you gotta appreciate the message they chose to tell with the Lyrics & MV's.

Yay, my Purki girls! 🥰 I'm so glad you liked this, I have more recommendations for you any time you want them, so just ask! Every single mini album has a very short (40 seconds - less than 2 minutes) "Intro" song (with a performance video) that gives off the vibes for the title track and the album overall. Pretty Psycho started off life as the Intro "Freaky Purky" from their "Hide and Seek" mini album but got made into a full song for their next mini album "MemeM". All the Intro performance videos are well worth watching! Since you've seen Sweet Juice you might enjoy the "Intro: Save Me" performance video from their "Cabin Fever" mini album, it's 1 minute 21 seconds long, you'll see what I mean about the vibes for the MV! So before you do Ponzona I definitely recommend you do "Intro: Crown" performance video first, it really is so good! (and is 49 seconds long) Swan and Go Eun are the main vocalists, so they generally go back to back or take turns. They have a general concept of horror (supernatural/creepy mostly) but yes, they do have a storyline within the concept, they are witches. Both the MemeM MV and the Nerdy MV have short story films that should be watched before the associated MV for context and storyline (and for fun, since they are quirky and don't take themselves that seriously!)

Wow... those (G)I-dle girlies are good at acting. Loved that song too... especially as the lead in to "Queencard" where Soyeon learns that confidence in who you are is the real secret to becoming a queen. (just like you were saying!) Great story, those 2 songs/videos.

The other Purple Kiss singer you were calling out is Na Goeun. The third main vocalist is Chaein who is the one you called out the contacts. In my mind when I'm thinking about the difference in their vocal character, I think Na Goeun is the closest to Solar (she's absolutely the strongest belter of the group), Swan to Wheein, and Chaein to Hwasa. Check the three of them covering Billie Eilish Bury a Friend or Red Velvet's Psycho to see it's really a threesome not a duo.

Loving this reaction. I love all of these girlgroups. I hope you will add Queencard to the next Kpop girl group Catch up. Allergy was the pre lease of Queencard. When allergy came out I related so much to the lyrics, Because I was feeling very inssecure about myself. I didn´t hate myself but I was feeling very down. Allergy me comfort. I will tell you how Queencard made me feel when you react to it.

So I'm not sure why you couldn't get captions for "Shatter" but I do recommend checking it out again later with captions. The choreography and production are created around a Medusa metaphor. It ends abruptly because Siyeon turns to stone. That part where you said it sounded like a high-pitched guitar is where Siyeon says she wants to be swallowed by a bird and carried into the sky. 😊

It's interesting, most Western reactors go "ooh, potato", but most Asian ones recognise it as mango :) It is indeed a mango. They asked all the members what they would be doing if the world was ending. For example, Sakura, the gamer, would be playing games, of course. Kazuha randomly breaks into stretching and exercise whenever, wherever - so why not at the end of the world, too? Eunchae (yes, the baby of the group)... Eunchae would be having a mango. :) If you want something different from Dreamcatcher, you're right, you have to go to B-sides. They have a ton of amazing B-sides. I suggest you try And There Was No One Left for some real contrast with their title songs. "Purple on the top" is a common refrain in Purple Kiss songs. :) Red Bull, less so :P
