Yep I agree. Whilst it’s not popular among the hardcore cyclists, if you just want a nice easy going ride in the country it’s perfect. 👌 if I wasn’t gifted this I’d buy one. 👍 🚴
On a serious note, Andy tested this bike well, Keilder is not to be sniffed at, as a non bike rider at the minute I am excited by this , looks like a bike for me. Thanks Andy great Vid.
Well worth it. So nice riding round. However I think part of the track is closed. There was a fence up just after the viaduct (heading towards the dam) on the way (from the dam) I didn’t see a fence though. Maybe it was there and I never saw it. I’d check with them as to which parts open or not. 👍 there’s still 13 odd miles if that section is actually closed off though.
Great looking bike that, looks a meaty sod but i am dissapointed to hear that its not waterproof. Especially here in blighty up the northern part aswell. We only get a weeks dry weather. Great ride that fella with some superb scenery. Impressed that there were no annoying midges about. Take care Andy
Cheers. Yeah it’s some bike. I’ve used it since in the rain. No issues. I got caught out. So maybe it’s ok. They say not to submerge it. 😊😊 which I’ll try not too 😂😂. Weathers clearing up now that summers over 😂😂 👍
Loving this was at Kielder Water September can't wait to visit again December. Could not find Janus Chairs hopefully next time. Absolutely love Kielder really my favourite place 😊
Great place kielder. Just reopened the paths on this video. I passed the Janus chairs they were cordoned off. 🤷♂️ I’ll send you a link to when we camped right on the chairs. 🪑 👌
Great vid mate, yeah e-bikes are the future if you just want a bimble or have any issues. I’ve gone e now with a mountain bike and a gravel/road bike and that’s after racing on the road in my younger days. ATB
I still use my MTB like. I’ll still get the workout. The e-bike is great just to muck about on and if you feel tired or achy. I’m loving it like. I reckon the doubters should have a test. I’m a fan. Definitely. Atb mate. 👍
Good test. I’ve floated the idea of an e-bike for a while but I didn’t realise water ingress during rain could be a problem. I wonder if this is common to most e-bikes ? I’ll have to do more research 👍
i nearly said mudguards are a waist of time if it's not recommended to use in the rain🤨but they'll keep the mud off 😉 I'll try & get to 75 before i get one😂 they'll be amazing by then🚴
😂 aye. Can’t ride in the rain is a bit daft like. There was mud on the guards after so it definitely saved me. Not everyone’s cup of tea these. I’ll still be out on my pedal bikes. I did 10 miles today after graft. Just for balance. 😂😂. Atb mate. 👍
@@AndyWardle definitely got there place if its the difference between getting out or not💪& you still got to turn the pedals.seen a lad on a carbon cube stereo team edition Emtb £6500 was drooling 😋
Well it seams to be a good one bro, does it regen when you peddle without assist or on down hill as that would help the battery last longer. Safe travels. Ken
Unsure. I don’t think it regenerates it just sort of refreshes. The bars were fluctuating between 2-3 on the uphills. Then settled on the flat. I should’ve said (did I?) the battery wasn’t fully charged. 👍
My DYU King 750 has conked out in less than 2 weeks from new and 30 miles , full battery and it will not power on now , checked all connection and plugs , day prev 15 mile ride all was good , next day nada ! I am stumped
Dunno. Mines still going strong. I was out a couple of days ago. Battery charged to full. It’s on 3/4 now. Maybe get onto DYU they may be able to shed light on 👍
Nice video Andy, great looking bike but just a note about throttle and speeds, unfortunately for you to be able to use them you need to be on private land with permission, you cant legally use them anywhere that has public access, even if its off road ....unless totally private land 😉
Yeah the throttles not connected there. Just pedal assist. I point out it’s not road legal. I think the lower power bikes are better. The DYU range is great. Quality builds too. But yeah. Get permission etc. 👍
@AndyWardle I wasn't trying to to be negative btw, I'm not fussed what people do within reason lol, just didn't want people thinking they can buy this bike and go blasting it across the moors lol, uk legal is a 250w motor set at 15.5mph and walk assist at no more than 6km, a lot of the bikes being sold with bigger motors are simply marked down to 250w, and set at the other bits, but I'm sure you know it's quite simple to bypass all that mallarky by the headset, it's what I'd do if I'm honest lol
I know this video is a few months old , but no way is the power meter reading properly the 92 watts is probably 920 peaking which would be correct for this 750 watt model as it says online it does peak at over 900 , I think if you add a zero to the end of all the 2 numbers showing on the power meter would be more realistic, I think the company has made a boo boo not using all the digits on the display , anyway I will find out as I have ordered one as the bike has been reduced in price to 1100 UK pounds, a spare battery is over half the price of the bike so I hope it lasts 😂 .I am 68 and its not the only E Fat-bike I have , never too old for fun .
Maybe the digits were there. The display flickers on camera. Which was annoying. The battery lasts a good while. I tested this on 3/4 battery and it was good for the 26 miles. I used a lot of throttle to wear it out too. The pedal assist is great. And it’ll bounce over any terrain. It’s great fun. I’ll be using it plenty in the nicer weather. Atb. 👍
