The Bear, Beef, and Succession sweeping the Emmys are my favourite part of the night! Jeremy, Ayo, Sarah, Kieran, Steven, and Ali all won a Golden Globe, Critics Choice, and an Emmy in one week is truly amazing. I hope they have a huge shelf to put their award after this, congratulations to all of them 🤗
Kinda disappointing tbh. These shows are great but outright sweeps when there's other amazing acting and writing in other shows too indicates the voters are barely watching 3-4 shows. No BCS?!
@@typ_mus_enjoyer I love Better Call Saul but seriously dude, there was no way that show was easy enough to beat Succession. If it was competing against something like Game Of Thrones, I can understand but definitely not Succession
Jeremy struck gold again with an amazing cast. Loved him and his cast mates in Shameless. The Bear feels and flows like Shameless but takes place in the kitchen. Looking forward to season 3 of The Bear!
@@Myrtanae The eligibility window for the Emmys is different than the Globes'. Also, the Emmy's ceremony was supposed to happen in September but was delayed because of the writer's strike
You are very incorrect. Emmy cutoffs are June 1. Tomorrow nights Emmy awards will be for season 2 which was released in late June 2023. Season 3 will be in Emmys September 2025 :)
Someone still needs to explain to me why "The Bear" is considered a comedy and not a drama... yes there are some funny moments but the overall tenor of the show is definitely leaning towards the dramatic.
I believe the 1st season made that happen. They started to late to enter the emmeys. By season 2 they're nominated from season 1 that was kinda like a comedy to me.
I was thrilled to see the cast of Martin, which I love. But unfortunately, like a lot of the award shows there was an undertone of racial preference. Especially when Anthony Andrews came out and said you’re not gonna win an Emmy like what happened with blackish. It was kind of a bad way to introduce the well deserving nominees. Whether they be white or black. That’s why I generally avoid award shows. They can’t get away from that theme.
AT THIS POINT WHY EVEN MAKE THESE AWARDS IF YOU WILL CHOOSE AS THE WINNER THE BEAR OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. PLEEASE MOVO ON AND PICK ANOTHER SHOW GRRRRRR
lmao the only reason he's getting this award is because they categorized The Bear in the "comedy" section even though it's not a comedy, it's a drama. So Jeremy should have lost to Keiran Culkin.
I know everyone is saying the Bear isn’t comedy, which I agree But everyone nominated in this category is in a show that is borderline drama. Barry, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking I think comedy nowadays just looks different, which isn’t a bad thing but this is a change in TV that might have an inedible mark
@@jdksdj11 agreed They need to make dramedy a genre if they want to go down this route People who actually make people laugh through the medium deserve an actual award
@280 Definitely, the thing with The Bear is that things are just so fucked up and stressing w that you can't help but laugh. I don't really know where tragic comedies would fit in tho
I hate these changes on TV. If the category is comedy, then they MUST nominate comedy shows, like Abbot Elementary, One Day at a Time, Young Sheldon, Family Guy, and other shows that are funny. The Bear should be in the drama category. It's very misleading😤.
Happy for JAW, but shame that Martin Short has received no awards for what's supposed to be a Comedy Emmy when he's the funniest thing on OMITB and The Bear, though great, isn't a comedy!
@@Swameh It's really not. Sopranos is funnier. So is Succession. Only thing consistently funny on The Bear is Cousin. Emmys just treat all 30 min shows as comedies :/
@@Swamehthe bear isn’t a comedy at all Half the episodes have 0 jokes in them It’s a great show but calling it a comedy is purely for the sake of award shows
Again with the Bear being considered a comedy and winning???? Makes no sense to me....love The Bear, but it aint a comedy and Jeremy was not a comedic actor in it
It was more because it could be classified in the Drama and Comedy categories.....But the show runners were smart and strategic by placing it in the comedy category because succession was SWEEPING the drama
Comedy is the choice of their producers. Up against Succession and Beef, it was a choice to be chosen. The thing is, Succession had more comedic moments. The producers should've completely backed their show and actors, and allowed for comedy to be celebrated.
Lowkey wished there was more awareness of the baton passing of comedy and emotion in its rawest form starting in Detroit x being passed to a show in the Chi
