Leadership Tennessee Visits Women's Prison in Nashville 

On Monday, TDOC hosted Leadership Tennessee at the Tennessee Prison for Women (TPFW). The group of leaders from across the state is comprised of individuals from various backgrounds. The day started with a breakfast followed by remarks from TDOC Commissioner Tony Parker. "Our community partners play an important role in the success of our agency and you being here to learn firsthand about what we do is proof of that." During the visit TPFW Warden Gloria Fisher also gave an overview of the facility followed by brief presentations from TDOC staff about the Rehabilitative Services we offer.
To complete the visit, Leadership Tennessee was taken on a tour of the facility with specific stops at the children’s visitation gallery, on-site call center, and the Retrieving Independence dog training program.
