That tank with the damaged autoloader would still have been able to fire and reload; it just would have been a very lengthy process as the crew would need to advance the mechanism manually.
Looking back on this, implementing defensive responses would definitely make the battles feel much more immersive. Those M60 platoons at the end started taking fire and sat there the whole time. Would be more interesting to see a mechanic where AI detecting incoming fire without immediately determining direction could reverse and pop smoke while facing the assumed threat vector.
You would absolutely use TOW against low flying helicopters, theres also several types of ATGM that have secondary fragmentation rings in the main body of the missile to help against such targets (and soft targets) and even selectable proximity fuses like the Russian Vikhr and Shturm. Theres a few videos of Syrian helicopters getting smacked by TOW's floating around out there.
I've talked with a Bradley crewman about using TOW on flying helicopters and the answer is not advisable because a helicopter can move out of the way quickly, thus losing your missile. Best is using the Bushmaster or a 50 cal.
@@PhanPhantasy True, those are much better suited to that task but that ITV that killed your Hind has neither of those weapons and would be making the choice "I shouldnt chance losing the missile" vs "Hes killing my friends right now and we could stop it". Unorthodox things will happen in combat
Also, there are videos of Ukrainians taking down 2 KA-52s that were hovering close to the ground with Stugna missiles. That tactic was only viable against Iraq in 1991, it seems.

Those C90's (edit M901) are always the biggest pain, but I find APFDS to go through the dirt is the best way to kill them in this mission. It's tricky to survive this mission with more then 3 T-80's remaining. My main issue is the Mi-24 doing hover attacks when they should be doing Caracole attacks. Great vid by the way, how do you manage to capture the cinmatic views? Is there a way to rerun the mission and then change the viewpoint?
knocking out 18 vehicle's and conflicting 35 crew casualties while only losing one whole platoon and the others only two between them is a pretty good trade if you ask me
