Nice video Though I'd share how I look at it: Imho Toxicity and bad teammates are a part of the competitive spirit, the same way when i trained soccer for a long time there'd be teammates somehow missing a empty goal or shit talking opponents/teammates. Yknow peeps like that are a integral part of league due to its competitive nature and riot cant really change that. Also i can't bring myself to mute, it makes games more boring since chat sometimes makes me laugh 😂 Just don't them get to ya since you're the only factor in any round you have full control of and enjoy league.

I really wish there were more adults in positions of authority to guide players. In traditional sports culture we always have a coach who is the adult in the room who understands we are playing a game and keeps an eye on the true goal which is growing their players for other activities in the future via the medium of sports. But E-Sport players don't get this advantage. Whatever they are telling themselves in their heads is all they get.
This is a great insight I never thought of. I recently watch a video of Doublelift sharing something similar about a professional sport coach that was brought into his team and it brought some success at that time. This needs to happen more. Thanks for the comment.
Its not really that toxic tho? Like before i started playing people always made it out to be this insanely toxic place but tbh it aint that bad. Mostly people calling you stupid in chat, or a guy inting once every few games, but thats pretty managable.

i quit nearly 10 years ago after getting to diamond elo. this sounds like a bunch of copium. could rant for an hour why the game's design is bad in terms of having fun and for mental health. plenty of other games around with better communities and less suffering during dry streaks/losing sessions.
