Excellent series, it takes stories not recognized in the 1992 film and expands the narrative. Based on real events but showing characters that are mixtures of experiences, it provides an emotional representation of LGBT women in the 40's. Bringing different types of relationships, from romantic to friendship, these are funny, interesting and crying episodes at the same time. Created and produced by queer people it's a wonderful series, I'm looking forward to season 2!
As part of the lgbtq community this show made me so greatful to be born in a generation where I don't have to hide with my wife. I was able to start a family and be super supported by my family and community. Granted we still have a long ways to go when it comes to acceptance and love but this series is great.
