Marvel vs Capcom 2 XL, STREET FIGHTER III & STREET FIGHTER ALPHA LEGACY?? & SNK BIG RED XL??, ARCADE 1UP, TAKE MY MONEY 🤑🤑🤑🤑,BUT THEY STILL NOT MAKING A "NINJA TURTLES PINBALL MACHINE" & "CAPCOM VS SNK 2 ARCADE MACHINE" & ALSO "TATSUNOKO VS CAPCOM ARCADE 1UP MACHINE
I think the SF3 and Alpha games lists can be Split. Offer all 3 Alpha Games, 1 SF Anniversary Edition which allows for the characters from all the previous SF games to be selected, And then they can fill in the rest with their selection of Unreleased Capcom Titles. For SF3, They could take the Opportunity to offer up th Entire CPS3 Library which consist of 6 Titles total all from Capcom. And then 6 other Unreleased Capcom games or a combination of Recycled and Unreleased to add some overlap to create more opportunities for finding Online sessions on games. If alpha and SF3 end up on a cab together, then that would tell me of how Desperate A1UP was. because both Title Entries are Big Enough that they deserve their own cab.
If they went that far…prototype phase…and it was denied by retailers, then all they could’ve done (or still do) is either go right to a Kickstarter or at the very least, a survey asking if there’s interest and “here’s the concept in-person” to gauge interest. If they’re broke and can’t afford to pre-build “X” amount, then let the customer decide by preorders. Having the physical product goes a long way in believing in it, and not just some badly done cut and paste image. On a side note, for some reason I thought the only actual cab that was in physical form was Track and Field. If the least likely one (720) was done too, are the there others 🤔 But they won’t. Call me on it A1up.
I know I’m in the minority. But I would have loved a Track and Field. I loved playing it at my local mall as a kid. But damn. That 720 is sexy. I would have gotten that for sure. It’s a great game and hard to find unless you have 4 or 5k to throw at it. Big medium resolution monitor too. Seeing how well Paperboy looks on the Midway Arcade1Up cabinet, this would have looked and played great. Especially if they used their new 48 way joystick. “Skate Or Die!!!” ❤
Maybe you are, but I cosign! My friend Track & Field is my dream arcade from A1UP. Hell i'd bay $699 for a standard/basic deluxe (non XL) track & field. That game is so fun it's not even funny.
19kfox This cab looks amazing! I wasn't a huge 720 fan, but I did play it back in the day. If this would've come out when I started building my Home Arcade, it might have been a contender, but I would've wanted one with a riser. Still, this is the kind of stuff that made me want to start this journey. vgv
A Robotron that is also a Smash TV would have me buying it, especially if the control panel is wide enough to accommodate four sticks in total so both players can dual weild as those games require. Two sticks only would be fine for single player, but c'mon. These games are better co-op.
Overall, it is a solid list for Arcade1up. I'd love to see SFA/SF3 Legacy Cabinet. The Dream cabinet would be the collaboration between them and Nintendo to bring us a Donkey Kong cabinet. I've been clamoring for it for several years. 🙏
720 was the last cabinet I was looking for. Dam, it appears like Disney, Arcade1up is going down the same path now of not what the paying customer desires. A funeral of many companies will be the outcome.
I've been looking for a 720 full-sized for years. Hard to find in good condition because of the way the top part was positioned leaning back on top of the base. Over time the top would break away from the base because it was too heavy with the old school CRT in it.
The 720 cabinet could include other Atari Games from that era. Games like, Toobin, Xybots, Klax..maybe Roadblasters and Blasteroids. Games Like Race Drivin and Vindicators have special controllers that are not on that console.
720 would have sat along with Time Crisis and would have been at that price point and not sold. Probably a good thing they are not going forward with it.
There are a few other old Atari games that could have worked on a 720 cab with a Hall effect joystick. Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters and I, Robot come to mind...
I would have liked to see a Lethal Enforcers prototype. A House of the Dead cab would be good as well. At this point I'm just going to use Wii with red and blue guns with red and blue Wiimotes from ebay with HOTD 2 & 3 from ebay and a Wii that was in a closet for several years, or my Retro Shooter set with a Arcade1up custom gun cabinet. Themed to Lethal Enforcers or House of the Dead. I was also considering a Carnevil skin. I have graphics for all three unused yet. I have been sitting on this mod for over 2 years. I also have the T2 cab which has a softmod now from Team Encoder that we didn't do yet.
I was never a 720 fan. That obviously doesn't diminish the love this game has in arcade history. If they were going to do a standalone game like this with unique controls I think they would've been better making Paperboy with handle bar control scheme. The popularity for Paperboy vs. 720 isn't close. People would've been more willing to pay for that than instead of this.
I dunno. Are we certain this was an actual built prototype and not just a digital creation? Of course, even if it was then I'm not sure that means anything. I would imagine that you could have something like this custom built for less than a months salary of an employee. We aren't talking about a million dollar+ car here. Im sure producing it costs 100x.that, so until I see official announcements it doesn't really mean anything to me
So if 720 was scrapped does that mean AVP will for sure not come out? Like you said they’ve already dabbled in the big blue, and that leaked AVP big blue V2 was probably real. Should I not still have hope for AVP?
Why do we care any more they just want re-release. I would have paid 700 for that 720 but them and the retailers just want re-release and that will be the death of the company. If they look into the fan bases of the games, they could see the market. I believe that the market for pacman has downsized due to re-releases.
Long before the “list,” JD leaked 720 on the 14 March 2023 A1Update show, after the 26 min mark, as a 1-title XL. 720 for $720 sound cringe enough for the A1U sales team?
the only thing relevant was mvc2 and it was for licensing reasons once upon a time... all of this other news is doo doo and you can get better on console. Or just use an emulator because it's the same thing only better.
