Whilst we have not seen so much of him lately, Dave, we missed. Go back to your old style videos where you had far more banter and trips to the merchants and other stuff on the channel as well. And keep the van intro
You can buy the basin mates on their own been using them for years on whatever waste you want and never had a problem can't understand why I still see people messing around with silicone or plumbers mate its such an unnecessary waste of time and mess
Good shout, when Tiff said about these a while ago I did think to myself I'm not going to go out and buy another hole when I've got one but will be stocking up on these. Cheers
Thanks for the Sunday Tiff therapy again. Enjoyed that one. I changed the waste in my bathroom basin and it was an absolute pain with the pedestal in the way.
Another great Sunday video Mark. You can’t beat those basin mates, always get you out of trouble. Good luck in your new job Dave, hopefully see you in Tiffs plumbing adventures. 🙂👍
Give Dave my best wishes he's been a good sport on your channel. I love the basin mates work a treat. And ive had the joys of an ideal flush valve washer change. Nice simple job. 😊. Just wish I could afford a tappex kit been struggling changing 20 pairs of taps in some boxed in basins with a 12" square access in front of each one.
Great video mate mainly due to a lot of relatable content.......i've been using basin maits for years now and wouldn't contemplate renewing a waste without using one also the ideal standard washers i buy by the dozen as nearly all properties built in the last 10 years have them and lastly is Dave going because of the impending Huws Gray takeover ? because that's what happened at my local Buildbase.......Keep the van intro.....you like it i'm sure the majority of us do so 😝
Dave’s been saying he’s leaving for years so I guess he finally decided to go…. Yer basin mates are brilliant….. and your right about the ideal washers
Plumbsave Dave: it even rhymes! Definitely the end of an era… but the start of a new one as well. If I did enough miles to justify it, I reckon I’d have an electric car. We’ve got a couple of Lotus dealerships and I had a go in an Eletre the other day. It’s a lovely motor but that whirring noise you can hear is Colin Chapman turning in his grave!
At that basin mate job, it looks like tape has been applied to the threads of the shutoff valves instead of/as well as the olives. DIY job I'm guessing. I love basin mates, better than mastic and no drying time. You can buy them separately without a click clack. x
Another great video M,i'm renovating at the moment and recently plumbed in 2 toilets and basins and all i could hear in my head was your voice saying "do this do that" so thanks for the great info 👍👍👍
Them waists just don't have enough flow i recent swapped the same in the bathroom that replaced the like for like years ago , problem is the pipes ect get blocked and u-bend over time even using sink cleaner ect sorts it but the issue still comes back so i just went for the Rotative type and now there is monsoon flow when fully opened, u-bend and waist were really blocked when i removed them even after using strong cleaners, oh and EV the people in power think Ev is the future yet they never done a days work the Ev vans and tippers ect lol with range nothing will ever get done as they must think everyone just uses a pen, oh i forgot look at Toolstation's Made4Trade waists as they come with a sealing kit you like its the one i got very good seal kit supplied
F**k the plumbing....Dave's off! Sad news Mark as he is a legend. Every plumbers dream, a plumbing supplies manager who bends over backwards to help is tradesmen. Legend...All the best Dave.
good work mate not a fan of those pop up wastes as eventually they seize up depending on how hard the water is or how cheaply they are made and you have to put your fingers into what ever mess you made in the Basin to get it to drain away. i have a few of those Dudley basin rubbers ive yet to try them
For tight spaces under a basin i use my basin nut spanner, i understand u cant use it on a basin mate though, however just do it the old fashioned way 😳
Hi Mark, some nice jobbing jobs there, easy and quick for a man with your talent. Sad to see Dave going, all the best to Dave in his new job, will he be the new manager? Have a great week and as always, take care, regards Chris. 👍👍👍
