I went to college with Patricia and hung out at times. Going by this podcast she hasn't let fame changed her! She's the same funny dorky girl I was friends with at the time. I'm still shocked how popular she's become because she was very private like she mentioned. I'm happy for her! Also, my friend used to call her Patty Cakes when we'd hang out lol
she just discovered that being female, cute and showing ass get views..... her reels on instagram get over 300k or more views.. her videos on youtbe the same.. if she had a tiktok, probably going millions of view currently
She forgot to mention the part of the audience that follows her as an inspirational strong woman. As a woman who works out with muscles it’s really refreshing to see a girl who actually works towards building strength rather than just trying to have a big butt.
Yeah literally I don't relate to any other female fitness personalities. the big butt aspirations and even the outfits just don't mean anything to me personally. I always felt weird for getting excited about growing my arms and getting strong more than anything haha.
Her appeal seems pretty obvious - she's delightfully authentic. Clearly nerdy, often awkward, and raised by internet culture, which makes her very relatable to a lot of us.
her appeal to me is her lack of arrogance...nothing about her speaks to objectifying herself sexually. She is confident without conceit, knowledgeable and authentic. She radiates good health and intelligence
@@MrAnderson5157 Not at all. I'm not an animal ruled by need to procreate. I can see her as a healthy bodied person with a wholesome mind. Its what she presents in her videos. E.G : I can appreciate the beauty of a horse or a dolphin and not want to f#@k it
Her video was really good, she was a pro gymnast after all. I'm a guy, quite flexible I think... but it was hard for me to find good stretches beyond the basics.
The wanting to be skinny and then working out to be muscle was me, 100%. It’s so hard to want to have a skinny body, especially when you’re younger, and it’s just straight muscle, and not understanding why you’re prob never going to be “skinny.” Really love you Patricia, and following your journey. Most def my favorite person in the fitness space. Thanks for being a real one. Mucho amor 🙏
You can tell she's a genuine down to earth person. Seems like she isn't even trying just winging the social media thing and being herself. Cool to see.
Bro a lot of famous people are, that’s just not the side that everyone sees…..or the side that gets much coverage, it’s not eye grabbing unless they did something bad like getting mad and then making it on articles and news but anyways I agree with you tho just sayin
Patty is genuine in the space and never fails to make the rest of us dorky folks make us feel 'normal'. Very happy she's blowing up and hope she has further success.
As an older person in my 50's I have friends my age that say to me, "if I was young again and I new what I know now how much better I would be". And I say to that, No. It doesn't work that way. You wouldn't be the person you are today if you didn't go through life making mistakes, making good decision, bad decisions, immaturity, being afraid. These are all the things that mold us and make you who you are today. And I will continue to make good and bad decision in my 50's to the day I die. Being a little worried is not always a bad thing. It guides us, pushes us. It can bring the best out of you or the worst out of you. Do the best you can. Be good to yourself so you can be good to others and to the world. When you are good to the world the world will be good to you.
I rlly respect Patty for sharing on this podcast, she’s been a huge inspiration for my own work out journey being focused on strength training. I think she’s an amazing influencer and a pretty great role model to others being so down to earth
He gets deep but he needs to know his audience and adjust accordingly lol. No disrespect to her, but she’s just not built that way for what brad was trying to get
he struggled trying to find things to talk about because patty is surface level and not political. almost like a child mind set. because I think if she starts thinking about these events she goes into existential crisis.
So refreshing to see someone that actually deserves their popularity. I randomly came across Patty and she is a great influencer and so many people could learn a lot from her. I support
I love her, man. Organic talk, sincere, but also smart to just adjust towards her quality projection in training. Not to mention, Patricia is freaking precious.
Had no idea these 2 could be so philosophical. Major respect. Its awesome to be able to appreciate these two for something other than fitness and their bodies.
I completely agree with her when she said making your passion your job can take the fun out of it. I became a personal trainer at a young age because i was so passionate about fitness... i ended up hating fitness for a while after this and have had to redefine everything. I thoroughly sympathize and understand that.
That was a dope interview. I've only just come across her recently but her content is really cool. She's down to earth and not into all that fluff that other female fitness YT are all about - just plain normal but in a good way and it's really refreshing too.
I discovered patty on tiktok back when she first got popular, around early 2021 ish, and ever since then I’ve been a huge fan. There’s been numerous times where she’s helped me with my eating habits. Just hearing her talk about prioritizing your health and giving yourself some credit was enough to get me in a clear head space. I love her, she’s really informative and helpful, especially for people who don’t really have a clue about anything in the fitness industry.
She's probably the most authentic female fitness influencer out there. Discovered her through her first workout vlog on yt and thought she was a small channel because she was just showing herself the way she worked out with her friends, not that fake authority -grow your glutes - 'm all perfect -stuff. Love her🏋️💕
Meg squats and many other women are genuinely interested in helping women get into the gym, while others are just being what society expects. Once folks have been doin it a while they struggle a bit with keeping it fresh, and financially worth while.
I love Patty! I have a similar build, definitely not as jacked, but used to get teased for looking similarly physically, but now i get compliments on my arms and legs instead of insults saying I'm too muscular or fit for a girl, because its cool and sexy now for girls to be strong :) I attribute this to women like Patty in this field, they're changing the game for ladies everywhere and slowly changing minds
@@vin_rouge180 lol yeah, like I said I'm no where near as jacked as her, but same height and weight, similar proportions, and visibly toned and muscular. I'm no gym rat or nothing I only work out once a week and just eat whatever I want 🤷
patty has anxiety and is awkward but she has enough ego to push thru and they're a cute balance. her fear of getting old and looking back knowing it's over and feeling dissatisfied is relatable
I don't like the guy 😅 his questions give me the impression that he is great at manipulation. He also referenced male genitalia several times, seems like he wants a piece of Patty ❤
@@karmaspromise4626most people assume they think the same, thinking differently is both a gift and a curse at times. If you're not up for either you're usually going to struggle with it more or less, unless you are very fortunate.
Patty inspires and motivates me, she's authentic, nerdy and entertaining. She's like the gym buddy I never had in my life 🥲 and I might have a girl crush on her, you go Patty do your thing 💪🏼❤️
I think, Lean Beef Patty was referring to Erik Erikson development stages, stage 8 - 31:02 Need to grow folks! Erik Erikson's 8 stages of development: 1) Infancy (0 to 1 years old): Trust vs Mistrust 2) Early Childhood ( 1 to 3 years old): Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt 3) Preschool (3 to 6 years old): Initiative vs Guilt 4) School Age (6 to 12 years old): Industry vs Inferiority 5) Adolescence (12 to 19 years old): Identity vs Role Confusion 6) Young Adulthood (20 to 25 years old): Intimacy vs Isolation 7) Middle Adulthood (26 to 64 years old): Generativity vs Stagnation 8) Maturity (65 years old and above): Ego Intergrity vs Despair
I love Lean Beef Patty so much, she’s such a breath of fresh air from the other popular female fitness influencers.. that are all about being thin, curvy, blonde, and seem to try and put on the same cookie cutter personality.
I love how brad always ask his questions. I don’t know if he does it on purpose. But it builds a story for the person in the chair so we can see how they came up and the process they go through to become the person they’ve become or currently are.
@@Glenners I wouldn’t say he talks over them. You have to understand half the people he meets don’t know him. In order for people to open up I feel like if he does they will too. So if he shows vulnerability hopefully they will too. In her case, I wouldn’t say she’s very open and that’s ok.
We like patty because she’s authentic and relatable. She doesn’t seem stuck up, provides educational content, is entertaining, and has a good physique. Definitely a good person to be representing the fitness niche.
Honestly started following her, cause yeah I found her attractive. but I stuck around cause her personality, her sense of humor and helpful advice. its good content
Her channel is fun, she's not trying to sell me anything. I see her working out for the right reasons to workout, her own. She's not pushing a particular product and she always states that she's using ingredients that work for her and states use whatever you works for you.
I agree with the never part of meeting girls at the gym. I'm there for me, it's my sanctuary. Many people feel this way and there are a ton of creeps who are inappropriate. I have never had a problem getting girls normally without harassing girls at the gym.
Leenbeefpatty taught me a lot about myself this episode. Thank you for being who you are, I know there's more people like I am learning from you out here 💪
Hearing him call himself a p*ssy with his anxiety was nice to hear. Not because I want that for him, it sucks, but growing up as the tiniest kid, who was always smaller than the smallest girl in every class my whole life, bullied by every jock or gym bro, I grew up.not only crippled by anxiety, but I had a lot of stereotypes toward gym guys, which, my adulthood since getting into the gym, I realize is definitely not the standard. I meet some of the coolest, chiller, and most informative people working out. It's just nice hearing guys that, in my own insecurities, I always viewed as being guys were above my mental health issues, almost on a pedestal. As for Leanbeefpatty, I only recently discovered her but I'm a big fan. I admit that is was originally mainly just my male brain being attracted to her, but her personality is adorable and sweet. Then you see the content, and she has great workout videos, but then talking about mental health and everything, she's just really top notch. I also love seeing her collaborate with other influencers. I think she would be a great influence for, well people in general, but especially young girls.
A lot of us have crippling anxiety. I've been dealing with it myself and I recently started dating again. It makes every date so god damn difficult for me. Most people don't notice it because you get good at hiding it or excuse yourself to a restroom to put cold water on your face.
I loved the existential part. Cause that's beyond the superficiality of just fitness as usual. And it's something that hits hard for me, always, since ever. Wish that conversation was a little longer
1am just ginished an hour in the gym and thisbis my first time listening to Brad in a serious setting. Definitely a fan of the podcast. And also first time seeing patty and def gained a respect for her through this.
Sam Sulek and Patricia have taken the RU-vid fitness side by storm and is awesome! I follow both and they both are great. To me the best part is how genuine both are.
The body dysmorphia never ends. I got jacked to give myself curves and then started to feel masculine and didn’t get the IG booty band girl body so I bought boobs and butt implants. I didn’t realize I’m a mesomorph and going to be lean and jacked forever. I don’t feel like my implants are big enough and I feel too muscular. I too have struggled with an eating disorder to get rid of my muscle and endless amounts of cardio/ dehydration tactics. I hope we both figure it out and can learn to love ourselves. ❤ thank you for representing the muscular girls that have self esteem issues.
I respect Patty. I grew up having a really muscular build and being a girl I got bullied for it. I love seeing women that look like me today and it helps me overcome the fears. ❤
31 or so minutes in when Bradley starting getting deeper with Patty was 👌 need to speak about this stuff on all platforms, there is more to life than just lifting
I'm with Patty in that I wake up every other day just like "I reeeaaally don't have to do shit today because...why does it matter in the end?" But I basically just pick some random thing to pretend to be motivated by for a while until it happens again.
That’s what happens when you’ve got nothing to believe in and no goals - if you plan on being alive in 6 months then set a goal and get to work so you’ll be a better you at the end of it instead of still wondering what’s the point
At first working out was a passion and I agree with Brad when he discusses how overtime it can become a burden instead of your quiet/safe place to kill time.
Great episode, I do think the talking points about the mental health of life and how attacking things internally is a struggle for everyone was super good.
I'm 66yrs old and love Patty, she never fails to brighten the day, make me smile, keep my workouts fun, and inspires me just to keep going. I think she is so fresh and unique...definitely a welcomed part of my life.
This podcast was awesome. You guys have great energy. Bradley is calm yet blunt, Patty is more loud and a bit shy at the same time. Kinda a great duo for a good laugh lol
After 7 years of Working Out as a Guy She is the Reason i started Taking Getting Abs Seriouly and now after 4 months and 23 days the Abs are finally starting to Show when i breathe out. It changed EVERYTHING my Barbell Rows my Pull Up s and my Squats got muuch better since i am training Abs. Thanks to Patty
I love LeanBeefs personality and weird noises she makes. Also the video game and fart noises edited in each video are Hilarious! Keep up the awesome videos.
She's cute and inspiring. She's got the sort of "online" personality that draws people in, that makes you want to see more of her and hear what she's got to say.
I know this is 10 month old vid, but i just found LeanBeefPattys content and shes such a moodbooster for me. Im also newbie on going to gym and all this healthy fitness /gym stuff, so im gaining lots of good info and tips about training and building a physique similar to hers. Really good episode!
Great episode, this really sheds some light on her personality, whereas before, to me, she was just another female content creator that you come across from time to time. Good vibes 💪🏻🔥
A large amount of Patties audience are 14-18yr old boys who really like the idea of a young, attractive woman who works out and like anime, video games and other nerdy stuff. She quotes these anime often. I watch her just because I find it interesting her going shopping, going on adventures on the farm and whatever else she does. Her workout stuff is very good but I've seen so much workout stuff that I already know most of it.
I learned what "90/90s" were and started doing ATG stretches and stuff because of LeanBeefPatty. I watched her videos because they were easy videos right to the info I needed without a big intro and sales pitch for some crap I don't need to buy.
that’s exactly what i was thinking lmao. you can tell that issue bothers him but with all due respect men will never understand how they make women women feel, so the issue that’s actually upsetting is that women have to deal with men being weird towards them- the issue that bothers him is the backlash of women finally feeling empowered to speak up about it and it kind of getting blown out of proportion. i liked this interview but also yeah man brain the whole time lmao. patty rocks tho
It was hard to relate to others when my dad committed suicide in my home while we were all there. I always struggle cause I ran for help and I feel I'm always running to this day
uh hey I rarely ever get this chance but I lost my mom to suicide when I was 11 and can totally relate to you having trouble relating to others, its not a common experience to go through and can feel really isolating, but if anything just know you're not truly alone in it. I hope one day you can make peace with it all and stop running, I'm still working towards that everyday, just keep going and keep strong
one of my best friends at the time in high school, his dad committed suicide in their living room while his mom was in the kitchen and he was playing a video game in his room. shot himself in the head through the mouth. he said all he heard was a really loud crash sound and he thought they were being robbed, so he grabbed a replica sword he had in his room and ran out to go check, but his mom was already running towards him (my friend) and holding him back saying "dont go in there!!" but of course he managed to get through and saw his fathers bloody, headless corpse on the living room chair. my friend already was an introvert and had social issues before this. he was/is never the same after that. the day it happened i spent two nights in a row at his house to make sure he was okay. it has been at least a decade since then and we have fallen out of touch, but every once in a while ill get a text or something saying "i still remember you being there for me when i needed someone, thank you. ill never forget that." im not sure if there was a point to me sharing this story with you. i just dont know anyone personally who has been through something similar till i just read your comment and felt compelled to share. i hope in reading this your take away is that youre not alone, there are people going through what you are going through too, and life goes on. im sorry for your tragic loss.
The reason people like this woman is because she’s naturally beautiful and genuine in her disposition You can tell that she’s not seeking attention, rather just wanting to help people and be positive in the space. When somebody is real, you can’t duplicate that. That’s something the interviewer might not be fully grasping.
I'll ride the authenticity train. Beef has this straight forward tone to her. Many people put on shtick, fewer people are solid on their square and that's what you get. Being real will always reign supreme.
The gym was empty for 15mins today and it was the first time in 1 yr that I squatted at the gym instead of waiting to go home with my own barbell where it's private..
Now I have legit respect for lean beef. She seems real. It’s these ditzy superficial influencer girls that are tainting the industry. Guys do the same as well.
For all my preconceived notions about Brad, that first question he asked was incredibly insightful and a great interview question. This pod isn't what I thought exactly
