In this English lesson you'll learn over 60 English action verbs and I will make them really easy to remember by acting each one out. As you continue to learn English you'll want to be able to describe the actions you do with your hands, eyes, head, and your whole body. You'll want to memorize these English action verbs.
In this lesson I'll help you learn these English verbs in an engaging and sometimes funny way. This lesson will hopefully help you learn some more English, but also make you smile and maybe even laugh! I can be a bit silly at times.
You'll learn English verbs like flick, kick, and yank. You'll learn simple verbs like push and pull, and more advanced verbs like yank and tug.
I'm sure this video will be helpful for you, or if you are an English teacher you're welcome to use this in your English class.
Have a great day!
🌻🌼💐 Jen has a RU-vid channel too! Come and see: / @myflowerfarm
😎 Here is a challenge for you: Watch the video again, and do all the actions while saying the word out loud. This will really help you remember them all! You can do it! 😎

This is one of the best english lessons I've ever watched. Most english learners tend to improve their vocabulary by learning words they don't use frequently during day to day life, as a result they forget the words they picked up few hours or days later. The verbs/expressions taught in this lesson are words that we use almost everyday. They are therefore easy to memorize!!

As a certified non native English teacher one huge area of vocabulary I've noticed learners (including myself) have a hard time with is definitely action verbs and the general vocabulary natives pick up in their formative years. The kind that deals with (not sure what to call it) spatial relations between objects, movement and physical manipulation, especially with prepositions. Teaching resources seem to completely ignore that so you end up being well equipped to discuss social issues of the modern world but not to explain over the phone where exactly at the office you left the documents or how to perform a simple procedure step by step. Part of the problem is that in tv shows these would be the actions that are often performed rather than narrated so the best way to fill in these gaps would be to read novels, I find. Or watch more videos like these (of which there are not that many). Good job on the video!

@marinaS8756
@marinaS8756 Год назад

We learn really difficult grammar in the English classes but we often experience the moments where we don't know how to express such simple actions like Bob teaches us. Thank you so much! It really helps us!

This... this is perfect for my hobby! I love writing but I'm a non-native speaker, so sometimes it's difficult to find the right word to describe a certain gesture when I don't have a clear, visual example of it to tell the difference, specially when the gestures can be very similar but varying in intensity, like swaying the hand and swatting.

I found this video just "incredible", because it's incredible how on earth I considered I had a B2 or maybe C1 English level but didn't know a great amount of the verbs you mentioned. Thanks a lot, Bob, for such a helpful video, which has taught me everyday words and expressions. You are a crack. Greetings from Lima-Perú.

@@user-se3zq6ww4n that's because some of these verbs, such as 'yank', or 'tug', are not used in classical British English, which most students are taught.

Hi Bob, I strongly appreciate your effort and maintenance in creating english lessons for people around the world. I love canadian accent the most, so I love watching your videos. I would like to recommend you to prepare video on opposites (e. g. correct-wrong, wise-silly...). I am sure it would be a strong theme suitable for making a series of videos. Miro Slovakia
