I struggle with standard controls . I have to get used to the standard controls format overall. I also struggle with perception , with the classic controls. Standard feels weird and classic seems easy to play with. However, I think the standard controls are more suitable for rank matches especially how competitive rank mode is . I was getting my ass dropped like a ping pong ball 🤣
id say only about 20% of people actually went into training to practice these but thank you a lot for this info. it definitely elaborated more into these mechanics that are important to know what the differences are rather than the feeling of "am i doing this right".
I don't think the game is too hard per se, it's just there's a LOT in Super Training to remember which is difficult in the heat of battle. Black and Zamasu were destroying me in Gokus story simply because I'd already forgotten basic stuff I could use to get the upper hand
Just like it's predecessors it's combat system is complex it's slow grind to get skilled at the game so people just need to enjoy it and stop trying to sweat so much
I think its that too. Its remembering eberything you learned and trying to apply it all at once that gets people overwhelmed and end up throwing the match.
Hey man new viewer of this channel but just a small critque for lazy folks like myself may you just put the button notations of the screen as it's easier to understand. Reason being once you start saying alot of terms in a sentence it gets hard to follow. I subbed btw so im looking forward to the guide :)
@@TheWonderpickle yeah same, vanishing feels way easier in this game it's just the super counters that i cant pull off but the ai can just do it flawlessly back to back.
@@TheScepter25 I see what u mean now I confused the vanish w the super counter. You can def still hit it when you're being pummeled from behind but the timing is trickier. I've noticed as long as the opponent is in front of you it has similar timing to the vanishing.
Note: The lower you are the harder it is to proc high speed evasion I've been seeing people and clips complaining about certain time they can't dodge the window for high speed evasion will be harder to hit when you are low
to counter attacks from back you have to use super counter, or you can also use vanish (dont know the proper name), its R1 (guard) on Playstation controller but timing it is very chance based
Man, I went back to training after getting destroyed by the AI & trust me Great Ape Vegeta is a menace if you don’t have the basics down lol Ima stay away from rank until I get better, definitely ain’t good enough to throw down like that
Thank you so much for this actually, I knew about practice mode but it’s hard to remember what counter/evade to do when. This game frustrates me beyond belief because I come from playing fast 2D fighting games and try to apply that logic. It feels so weird to have what I assume was the perfect opening for a combo, only to get 3 hits in and staggered. I’ve been practicing defense but I’d love a video on how to approach and when it is appropriate to do combos, supers, etc.
I never played BT3 but I’ve played Raging blast as much as others played BT3. I’m in rank B5 but I’m starting to get waxed online. Rank D and C were easy for me but rank B feels like a whole new game. The biggest difference is that my opponents are good at the counter and defense system to where I can’t even get my combos off. It exposed that I have trash defense and need to work on it. To me mastering defense is the key in this game. If you have great defense and mid combos you will win a lot of matches. I’m gonna spend some time in training getting these counters down and hopefully I can move past B5
When should I try and go for a perception against a revenge counter. I feel like in every scenario, using high speed evade would always be better against a revenge counter.
if someone uses revenge counter on you and you have resources go for it. you just dont want to over rely on super perception. such as being able to high speed dodge a blast makes more sense than super perception
hey idk if your gonna be able to see this but if you can make a video or put in a video how to block someone when they are coming from behind maybe with a dragon rush i seen other do it and counter me but i cant seem to turn around like they do
How do you get out of situations when your opponent is attacking from behind, can you still do any counters or perception? Typically when I get behind my opponent a lit of times they still somehow manage to counter me. I thought that once you get behind the opponent that they couldn’t do anything pretty much.
I don’t know what it’s called but the maneuver when you and an opponent are going back and forth teleporting behind each other over and over-it uses Ki. I canceled this in a match with a friend because I was running out of Ki, and I didn’t want to be punished. I haven’t been able to replicate it. Any ideas? Basically, I want to teleport behind them without knocking them away to stop the exchange and just go into a regular combo.
Question: if you want to pull off a super counter , but you are either flipped or the opponent is behind /to your side , do you need to match the analog stick forward towards them.or is it always towards our forward?
Thats exactly the reason it feels so inconistent. They should change it to something like tapping block and punch at the same time like a perfect parry or so. The analog stick is stupid with how fast paced the directions change in the game
The right bumper for the block/evasion/counters seems like an unreachable place. Can it be changed to left trigger or anu other button since it's an important mechanic in this game
This might sound goofy but how do I let them hit me when I have them set to rush attacks in practice☠️ if I just stand still or walk forward I automatically block
I have a question about when someone uses rolling hammer and starts attacking from behind, how do i get out of that, I've seen where people are able to turn around and start blocking or counter but ive just not been able to do it.
How do you defend against the combo break that uses skill counter people spam it for classic controls I only did it a few times but didn’t know how I did it
You mean Revenge Counter? You counter that with either a vanish-dodge, or a Super Perception. To vanish, you perfectly time tapping Circle (or whatever your guard button is), and for Super Perception, you perfectly time tapping Triangle + Circle (or whatever your guard button is) at the same.
ion think the game is too hard it’s just tht if you want to genuinely get good with some mechanics you need to put more time into it that’s why im waking up at 6am to practice 😂
Tilt the left stick forwards and then press punch the moment an enemy punch would connect. Doesn't work if you press them at the same time or tilt the stick too early. The timing is super tight. The CPU makes it look way too easy.
R1 and direction you wanna dodge right before the hit. Timing is very short tho. I think square + x also works at close range too. But from what I understand r1 and direction. Keep in mind you need ki gauge so hit hit hit hit and r1 directional to dodge behind
I'm a dumpster fire on the sun kind of bad. My advice, get good son or stay at saibamen levels. How do you expect to be at broly by whining? Are you even using capsules?
Rush after is holding X after like 2 seconds of that hit that send them flying but. R2 x also does but while you don r2 x and after like 2 seconds if you do r2 x you can fly right behind them. You need ki gauge to do it tho
@Zelielz1 each person controller might be different but it simply super counter is up + square (attack button), z counter and high speed evasion is guard button at right time
Maaaann the controls on this game are dog shit ‼️ The game has great visuals but wasn’t worth splurging for the ultimate edition… the fluidity in movement as well as the camera and lack of lock on is a joke ‼️ You can barely break a barrage of combos while on defense because the action is often unresponsive…and even during a special attack the cinematic get in the way of any reaction you could possibly have.. that long fall without being able to recover u til you hit the ground and then an added three second delay is a joke .. This game based solely on the pvp and button layout for either controller style will not be forgiving to new or passive players 🤷🏽♂️.. I’d have gotten a refund on the pre release if I could have , but take it from me , it isn’t worth anything beyond the standard edition unless your a Superfan
