I have been bragging to all my friends about the amazing Rav4 since i bought it. I have been a mechanical engineer for over 40yrs so I over analyze everything. I am very impressed with this car.

There's definitely a lot of buttons and things to learn. Lisa and I love the car so far. Lisa went to the store and got 49.9 mpg on the short 2 mile trip home.

I just bought one of these in the white pearl less than 2 weeks ago. I am in love with it. You helped me a ton...I had no idea how to move the cover in the back, that it stored in the spare tire well, that the well cover could be lowered, that the driver seat could lower (holy crap!!!), the seat adjustment in the back seats, the fact I can change to digital speedometer (OMG!), also I haven't been in eco mode this whole time (facepalm)!!

I bought a rav4 hybrid XSE and I’m wondering if anyone knows how to program the door locks to automatically lock when going a certain speed or once the car gets put into drive? My Honda did it automatically.

Nice , I have a RAV4 2019 with all of this except for the panoramic sun roof and it all works great . Living in Montana I wanted an all weather all terrain vehicle and I have been pleasantly surprised by its off road capabilities . It has great clearance and in trail mode will go anywhere you point it as long as you have clearance. You can also get Toyota connect ( you pay for after two years ) with a ton of features including remote start , very nice when it’s -30° out . The one thing I have never got Is 40mpg best ever 37mpg average 35mpg still not bad compared to my Toyota Sequoia 14mpg :-( I would highly recommend this vehicle for its roominess, 4x4 capabilities, fuel economy and when driven in sport mode a kick in the ass to drive . Jeff, I believe you said the parking/emergency brake comes on whenever you put the car in Park. If so, is there an override? Sometimes (e.g. in icy weather0, you may not want the emergency brake on all night for fear of freezing up. Or have they thought of a way around that potential problem? I have a 2022 Hybrid RAV4 XLE, I have yet to get 40 mpg! Best is 33 mpg. My batteries only charge to 4 bars. Every time I push the EV button says no, no hybrid battery to low. At2 years old is my hybrid battery bad already it is only 70% efficient?

I’ve been looking at the XSE for a while but I wish I didn’t have to pay so much extra for a panoramic moonroof. It would be nice if there was an a la carte option for these models.

This car: 2023 Me: 1996 My car: 1977 Thank you for this video because my dad has had a 1977 Chevy Impala since he married my mom and this was my first car to drive, and I love that. However, going from a classic to plastic, and from a car guy drive and think for, to a car that is basically a giant complex on wheels will be a huge deal for me. I have been against owning a new car since I was able to drive, and I loved my car, always will, but unfortunately we need a new hybrid. Our car is a hybrid too; it burns both gas and oil. We finally came to a point in our lives that we need cars that get better mileage than the ones we have now, and as my dad is a mechanic and knows cars well he narrowed our list down to either a Honda CR-V or a Toyota RAV-4 (knowing I wanted an SUV) He knows Toyota’s get more life out of them and so we decided on this one, and only a year old or newer, I’d be happy with a 2023. I’m really sentimental and after knowing only a car that it’s only computer element is the ignition module, all these features were really confusing, but after watching this video I am excited about this more than ever and even though I am changing to a car from this actual century and decade, there will be old habits I will refuse to get rid of, such as still driving the car, and not letting it drive me. But then again, that could also change in a few years if it ends up spoiling me…I pray not though. Thanks for going through the trouble of explaining what all the shiny buttons do, now I won’t feel like such an idiot.

I'm in Australia with a RAV4 Cruiser (top spec, leather seats etc) barely two weeks old. Loving the car and very grateful for this video which points out the features in a condensed version. Now, when I work my way through the manual, I will have a better idea what is being referred to. Thanks, Jeff. Bought RAV4 hybrid xle premium made in December 2021 in Japan, has the problem with gas tank, can only fill 10 gallons when the tank is empty. Other problems: severe wind, engine and road noise, cannot change folders on USB while driving (Idiots who designed the audio system should be fired, don't know why I paid $1800 more for bad JBL system), Air vent trim is silver which reflects on side mirrors. The front hood is so flimsy it flaps while driving. Side mirrors vibrate at speeds more than 70 miles per hour. The computer shows 39mpg but the real-world mpg is 33. AVOID TOYOTAS LIKE PLAGUE!! VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY.

Rav 4 hybrid from Creastmont TOYOTA in NJ. Brandon D (highly recommend ) the sales man, just called me the order has been accepted coming next month..Ordered in Dec.2021

I bought a '21 Rav4 Hybrid in June '21. But for all the things the Rav4 Hybrid XSE has, I'll tell you what it doesn't have. It doesn't have power window switch buttons that light up (except for the driver's window button, which has a dim indicator), and it doesn't have a light in the glove box. Toyota went cheap on this feature and I might have to buy my own replacement switch(es). It seems like Toyota went to the parts bin and installed window switches from a lower grade Rav4.

If you're in down under and see this, trust me we ain't getting a lot of shit oversea models have....but...but we also have some shits they don't have. Yea I just got mine Cruiser Hybrid...mad car but...but hear me out.... NONE....and I'll say it again NONE...of the videos you see on youtube will show you what's the differences are. Do your own research so you won't get disappointed.

I enjoyed your review of the RAV4 you do a great job explaining all the buttons and what it does. Your antics are hilarious I've actually watched you more than once from the same program.

What has Toyota done to address the cable corrosion issues in their hybrid vehicles? Living in Minnesota with our snow and salt on the roads, cable corrosion will be exposed. From the research I have done, Toyota has done very little to address the issue. Extending the warranty isn't the answer. Correct the problem!

Based on the sticker at the beginning, if you don't have front and rear parking sensors, you also wouldn't have wireless charging. If I'm right and that is the case, I'm presuming you just wouldn't have an on/off button where the phone would be.

About the rear hatch operation. I had a situation, where nothing would open the hatch (e.g. not the key fob, outside or inside button). Do you know what the issue is? Nice to know about rear seat inclines and how to work all the dash menus--appreciate it!

Hate to nitpick on an otherwise excellent video, but he didn't properly explain how the auto-braking works with the parking sensors on the rear bumper @6:02. The car will only stop itself if you are in reverse and backing up as another object is in motion behind the vehicle within about 3 to 4 feet or so. It can be another car backing out of a stall or a person walking behind the car. He made it sound like the car will stop just by getting closer and closer to an object behind the car that is stationary - wall, pole, parked car, etc. You'll get audio and visual representation on the distance to other object, but the car only stops when you step on the brake.

If you have a hot line to Toyota, a front dash cam traffic recorder and rear cam traffic recorder is almost essential these days. These cameras need number plate recognition where all visible number plates are photographed and recorded so that using a mouse or touch screen on playback the tag or registration number can be read. The owner and/or driver information should only be available to police, and authorised legal representatives to resolve legal issues. It would be a welcome feature assisting in accidents, insurance claims, road rage incidents and solving crimes.

Gute Technik aber seeeeehr schlechte qualität. Mein 306 ps rav4 phev ist sehr scht verarbeitet. Ich habe es bis jetzt 20 mal zur reparatur bei toyota abgfgeben. Es klappert vom sonnendach, vom amaturenträger, vom heckklappe, vom heckbereich, von der mittelkonsole. Es klappert von überall und toyota kann nicht reparieren. BAD CAR!
