This is excellent! I didn’t realise the ko word. It makes so much sense now. Everyone should start here understanding how to form a basic sentence and its structure. This is the essential foundation.

Incidentally having been in the egg industry, chickens lay less in winter because they need more energy to keep warm. Unless of course they're KEPT warm by the building design which most commercial egg places are.

Bhot shukriya aap ka! Smj aate hain aap ke video sy. So, in urdu there is no grammatical way which can separate "want" from "must" or "have to" , just by context, right? Feels a bit tricky, though 👀
@learnurduwithsara1068
@learnurduwithsara1068 3 года назад
There are other ways of saying want this is just one method. For eg. you can use the verb "chahna" and conjugate into present simple tense "mai chahti hoon" which means I want. But the construction from the video is a more casual way of speaking.

You said that the infinitive Khana becomes Khaney to make it plural, is this unique to Urdu? Making infinitives plural? It's just that in English that isn't done (I want to eat an apple, I want to eat apples)
@learnurduwithsara1068
@learnurduwithsara1068 3 года назад
Yes grammatically you don't have to change it. But in daily conversations people mostly change the endings. So it is up to you if you want to change it or not.
@cHr0mChIk
@cHr0mChIk 2 года назад
It's actually not an infinitive, but a gerundive. It doesn't only match the number but the gender as well. An example of infinitive: Khaana khaana accha hai. RoTi khaana accha hai. Chawal khaana accha hai. And example of gerundive: Mujhe khaana khaana hai. Mujhe roTi khaani hai. Mujhe chawal khaane hai. As you can see, the gerundive changes according to the gender and number, while infinitive doesn't.
@cHr0mChIk
@cHr0mChIk 2 года назад
Another thing is, if you don't conjugate it, you're technically not making a mistake as well, because according to certain grammarians, that is correct as well, so you don't have to worry. Urdu is more "flexible" regarding this, while some other languages like Punjabi have more strict rules regarding the infinitive/gerundive.

The form of the sentence "Mein khana chahta hun" is the same as "Mujhe/mujhko khana hai"? When should I use a certain form instead of the other one?

Thank you so much But is this form correct ? جانا پڑھے گا کھانا پڑھے گا
@learnurduwithsara1068
@learnurduwithsara1068 3 года назад
Although the constructions are quite similar but there is a slight differnce. پڑھنا is used when you are compelled to do something even if it is contrary to your own will. Whereas infinitive+ہے construction can be used when you are doing something due to your own will or your responsibly. Hope it is clear enough :)
