Finally someone who is aware of not just videoing/demonstrating their skill set. Rick created a video from the viewer/learner sight line, so the viewer/learner takes on Rick body in their mind.

Can you please do another one with the back view, but keep going for a while and don't talk through it? We keep rewinding to watch the one part over and over with the numbers. You need to do it like 10 times continuously so us super beginners can get it. You are the only one that does back facing videos so we can actually follow. Also save the stories for the beginning or end of the video so it's not distracting when we're trying to focus on the steps and counting. :) Thank you🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

mmmm...if you've got 50 years of experience you were "boppin" which was a rhythmic movement, not a count. This whole new age stepping looks like modified line dancing. The sad thing about this stepping craze is that if they person that asks you to dance, or visa versa, doesn't know the exact same moves, it doesn't work. Great steppers can improvise but now-a-days (regardless of the popularity, style and grace), looks like "Stefford wives steppin...50 years ago, anybody could bop with anybody. Just my 2 cents.

My friend I started stepping in 1972 I'm not saying I was good at it but the first time I saw we called it bopping but there was a difference in the to dance I do not know how to Bob and you are right the new schoolers make the dance look like everybody is towards the same thing the same style so it is like Stepford wives but now the original form of stepping is getting popular again which was everyone having their own style and flavor if you look at RU-vid you'll see the style changing back I'm not saying the best version of it but it is thanks for the conversation about stepping we live by it good footsteppers.com

@@rickball7198 I hear you and thanks for the positive feedback. At the end of the day as long as everybody is happy doing what they enjoy that's all that matters. It's unfortunate though that "sometimes", when you go to sets now if you aren't doing the..."7,8..1-2-3,4-5-6,,,,,7,,,8 that nobody wants to step with you or they tell you that YOU have to learn their way. And since you are old' skool you should be able to relate to this....I can step-- but steppin these days is like playin' bid whist with a table full of dead serious card players; it's not fun when you're criticized for making the wrong move.....
