Alex Elmsley’s magic is one of the biggest reasons why I started to learn card magic. A master of both plots that can speak for themselves, and also fun patter to tell an engaging story. Thanks for sharing this one with us all! (My personal favorite: A Strange Story. “I am a ghost!”)

There is a hopping animal that is the universal symbol of magic but we're going with a frog. Okay. 😂 Great video though. Card tricks need to be self-working for me.

Hello, I found a few years ago in the French magazine Arcane an effect using David Harkey's frog bending called in French "Transposition". The transposition is done with "Looy Simonoff's pirouette". ( Sorry for my "deepL" english)

He didn’t start the frog on the forced microphone, it got eliminated by accident. Gotta follow the steps as written, or the trick doesn’t work. :p

If they say an even number you can ask another spectator (or the same) for an odd one and sum them and you’ll always get an odd number

If it's an even number start the count on the forced card. If it's odd start the count on the next card as explained here. Hope this makes sense!🧐

Great idea using the card frog for this. I don't have Elmsley's book. I need to get it. Didn't know that trick.

Interesting that you mentioned Martin Gardner, I used to love his columns in Scientific American. He was a very interesting chap, maybe one of the last true polymaths. Great video as usual! Thanks.

@@DougConn Gardner is amazing, Some of his thought processes are mind boggling. We have some good living polymaths in the UK though. Dr Brian May from Queen. Professor Brian Cox, and Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden.

General different question for you and any detail would be appreciated sure Doug - By the way have you been to #Milwaukee or heard about it ? On a serious note Do you think it is good city for all purposes and living ? And there is Madison too Or you recommend some other city like Idaho or or or Chicago or California like BIG cities? Are big cities more famous ones a better place to shift or move where one could learn, do university , stay and live and have a good living ? What cities did you Love and feel is the best places since you must have traveled and lived everywhere !
@DougConn

I Spent time in Chicago many moons ago (and I’ve heard Madison and Milwaukee are both workable) but my experience with those areas is decades old and my info/opinions would be irrelevant. I’d suggest joining some street performer forums for this kind of up to date info. I’ve mainly just busked New Orleans and it’s a great city to work but it’s also one of the hardest.

@@DougConn In short would you say a famous bigger famous city is always better though it is costlier or a medium smaller town ? What's your perspective ?

A kids animal deck of cards - maybe use a frog card force. LoL 😆 I don't know where I'm going with this - somehow a frog card turned over would be cool but a bicycle back frog card? Maybe ? Lol
