Rebecca is a great English teacher. She's kind of an English authority or expert and hence it's mandatory for students to benefit from her vast knowledge in English. Viva teacher Rebecca!
Let me be frank I have tried many lessons on youtube to advance my English grammar, but I never came across anyone who is better than ms. Rebecca. she is my favorite teacher.

Rebecca is a brilliant and concise teacher. I'm 65 year old man raising two 8 and 10 year old boys on my own. I've lived in this country for 40 years and still like to learn these tenses because I have to teach my kids the difference between these two tenses and ways to use them correctly.

After over 40 years, I finally learned the difference between these two things. One of the things I love about life is that you keep learning no matter your age. As the saying goes, experience is my best teacher, but Rebecca is my best English teacher. Thank you so much, Teacher Rebecca,
I need to explain this concept to a none English speaking friend of mine so as a refresher for me I search for web sites or a video on line. I am impressed with how clear, thorough, well paced explanation you have presented. Bravo!
Hello, our lovely teacher Mrs. Rebecca, after my time period ın the school, 1970-1972, I have already begun to learn English again before a year in May/2021. Madam! I'm 63 years of age, single parent with two little kids ages 9 and 7. I have to afldmit that you are wonderful and magnificent. Thank you for your effort in educating many people in need. Thank you and may God bless you
I looked for English lessons here on youtube to understand the difference between the past simple and the present perfect. But, I've never seen anything like this lesson! Now it's clear in my mind! Thank you for help!
I'm a pretty oldman from Kerala India. I'm a retired teacher of English. In India people take the present perfect tense for a past tense form. Ma'am clearly made us understand that in the present perfect tense we are not interested in the past action but in the present result of the past action. I think the teacher could have given more concrete examples. Thank you ma'am.
Great and very informative lesson! Thank you, teacher Rebecca because I have known a lot from you. Keep sharing your knowledge in English grammar. You are one of my favorite teachers in the Engvid channel. Keep safe and stay at home.
I watched many lessons from other teachers, but your lessons are the best . The way you present the lessons keeps the viewers interested as well as concentrated. So thanks for your work and remain present for us.
Believe it or not - I`ve been studying English from 1-st grade and somehow managed to get through all the tests/exams and never truly figuring out what are the differences between these two tenses. I know this is ridiculous, but this is true. I`m immensely grateful to you for parsing out the minutiae and taking the time to explain it. I have to be honest, I feel confused a bit, since I basically have to forget all the info that I have learned through the years and learn these simple things de novo. Again, big thanks for your work!
Today at class we correct the quiz of past simple and present perfect and it was one sentence that i must put the correct tense in : Since I (came) here, I (study) in this school. I put both of the verbs in present perfect cause they're two actions unfinished and we have the key since. But the teacher tell us that the first verb must be in past simple , I'm confused now which is correct and why? Thank you for the explanation.
Well, you came in the past, and it's a finished action, but you are still studying in this school, this is why study should be in present perfect.(as far as I understood)
wow, it's amazing, I understand why you have the two(three?) past relating expression for the first time. Someone told me your flight had gone to me. I notice now she wanted to tell me I did not have at that time. There were a difference. Thank you.
Like football? Please take a look at my channel... my latest video is about the same topic (past simple v present perfect) but I use Pele, Ronaldo, Messi and Maradona as examples.
PRESENT PERFECT You taught me how to be alone And I have learned my lessonin your absence PAST SIMPLE I cried when you left me But I laughed when I saw what you left me for
You taught me -- simple past You have taught me -- present perfect I learned/learnt -- simple past I have learned/learnt -- present perfect He saw me -- simple past He has seen me -- present perfect I ate rice -- simple past I have eaten rice -- present perfect
