Thanks so much Carlo for posting this video on Rumba... as you mention there's more than one way to Rumba. I saw Juan Martin hitting the guitar at the bridge and then above the sound hole for different percussive sounds. You used that Rasqueado fan technique in the beginning of the video and that was cool. What I love about flamenco guitar is that once you master the 6 or 7 techniques needed to play this music, you can create your own Flamenco style. It's a lot different from playing classical guitar... it's much more free and less restrictive. Thanks so much again this is just what I needed to get me started.👍👍

Finally someone that explain properly the right hand tecnique. Thank you! Can you teach how can i start the finger picking to play the flamenco solos like Paco de Lucia playing Malagueña Lecuona. That it's the song that i'm learning to play the entire song! Not just the Main parts of it like they show in the most of the videos. It's the most Challenging song that i'm trying to play it just like Paco de Lucia did. I play mostly all kind of rock songs with their solos and everything. I'm Malagueña Lecuona it's a song that takes me to a spiritual set of mind. Sometimes when i listen Malagueña Lecuona i literally cry of the emotion and the high elevation of energy that the song has and looking the videos of Paco de Lucia playing that song it's stunning. There is a russian guy that plays flamenco and plays a Lot of Paco de Lucia's songs. His name is something like Grisha or something like that . You probably know who im talking about!
@CarloEspresso
@CarloEspresso 3 года назад
Hi Juan, and thanks for watching. Grisha has to be one the greatest flamenco player there is right now (if not the best). Reaching that level of technic require years of dedication and practice. Just to tell you how good he is… I actually believe that Grisha has surpassed Paco De Lucia himself… I don’t know what you’re guitar level right now, but (if) you are beginner, I don’t recommend aiming for such a difficult thing to play: ( This is Paco playing it, at 2:35 it becomes extremely fast 😮 ) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5X6Vji2Cy-I.html Even confirmed guitar player would need, weeks, months... or maybe years to reach that level of perfection. Look, I’m not trying to discourage or anything, but like people say, walk before one can run. On the other hand, maybe one day, I’ll play my own version of Malaguña, who knows. All the best 😉. Carlo.

@@CarloEspresso "Grisha has to be one the greatest flamenco player there is right now (if not the best)." "Just to tell you how good he is… I actually believe that Grisha has surpassed Paco De Lucia himself… " No disrespect to Grisha whatsoever but, please hook me up with your dealer man LOL Grisha is not even at the level of the current top spanish virtuosos, let alone being worthy of being compared to Paco. Not to be a dick, but it's just the way it is

Good...good. well explained. It seems quite easy to perform. The most easy pattern so far I have seen on line. I like the golpe on this version. You don't have to come to a full stop of movements and by keeping still the thumb on the surface it allows for the last 3 movements (index up/down/up) to be consistent (both sound &definition). Then the same thumb at rest will immediately ignites the first movement due to its position that will allows the thumb to immediately come down. And believe me...the end and the begging of the pattern it's perhaps the most important part of this since it allows ur mind to know where you are once you start speeding up the process, Great job 👌

This one of the few tutorial where they actually show the right hand fingers clearly! Good job with that! It's much clear that way, with other tutorials I just had to go by sound :c

I've been trying to learn how to play my classical guitar for a while but none of the videos I found were very helpful. I know this video is very short compared to other guides but in just 8 minutes you explained this technique better than all the other guides I've looked at. Thank you very much, I wish I had found this video sooner!

Thank you for your kind explanation. Honestly speaking, my brain understands what you say, but my hands are not doing well when the rhythm goes faster. 설명 잘 들었어요. 감사합니다. 머리로는 이해가 되는데, 리듬이 빨라지면 손이 잘 따라오질 않네요.

You are really good at teaching and hopefully I can now practice this technique. I`ve always wanted to learn Enter Dos Aquas`s rhythm strumming. Would be great if you could make a short tutorial like this. Thanks for your time and lesson.

Carlo: don't run away it's easy *shows bar chords*
@Aurora-oe2qp
@Aurora-oe2qp 2 года назад
Well, the chords you play don't really matter, and you can play versions of all those chords without needing to barre anything. The Am, G, and E are pretty basic chords, but the F you can play as x33210. It's technically an Fmaj7/C now, but it works in a lot of places you'd see an F. You can also mute the high E, which is the major seventh chords the F chord, just get an F/C chord. /C just means that C is the base note, which is the perfect fifth of the F chord. Having the fifth in the bass can also be called second inversion; first inversion is having the third in the bass, in this case A, and root inversion is having the root note in the bass, in this case F. Another F chord that I really like that fits perfectly in the andalusian progression is 033200, which would technically be Fmaj7#11/E, but it's essentially just the E chord moved up a semitone, but you keep the E and B strings, which would make an E5. So you're essentially playing an E5 over your F chord, which can be notated as F|E5.

@@Aurora-oe2qp explain in a more simplified way
@Aurora-oe2qp
@Aurora-oe2qp 2 года назад
@@rodriguez8576 Right, well, you can play any chords you want to: the rhythm won't change, obviously. But the chords he are playing is Am - G - F - E, which is commonly known as the andalusian cadence. Am, G and E all have basic chord voicings that pretty much any beginner guitarrist can play. F can be a bit trouble for beginners, but you can play it without the low E-string and with the open high E-string. This is technically an Fmaj7/C, but that doesn't really matter: it is still a type of F major chord. Or, instead of that, you can play it like an E chord but moved up a step. That is technically Fmaj7#11/E, but again, it's still a type of F major chord. That chord is also kind of common in flamenco music and it resolves very nicely to E. I hope that clears it up, and otherwise, could you be a bit more specific with what you don't understand?

@@Aurora-oe2qp can you write the chord pls I’m not English and barely understand what you say thank you
@Aurora-oe2qp
@Aurora-oe2qp 2 года назад
@@crepeszer8646 what do you mean by write the chord? I already did write it in tabs: Fmaj7/C is x33210, where x means not playing the string, 3 means 3rd fret, 2 means 2nd fret, and so on. 0 means open string. Fmaj7#11/E is 033200. Does that answer your question?
