💡 Finding a good rhythm to make riding a course easy. Part 2
In the beginning of November 2021 we had the chance to film at the Show Jumpers Academy in Belgium at the facilities of Écuries d’Écaussinnes. The showjumping part of the 2-day clinic was held by olympic champion Henrik von Eckermann. During the clinic the students learned a lot about finding the right rhythm, position in the saddle and mostly how to manage their horses in the best possible way during a course. As a highlight Henrik sat on some of the horses to show how little it takes to give the horses a better confidence and ability to use their bodies over the fences. Henrik von Eckermann is a Swedish showjumper who has already represented his country at several championships and became team olympic champion in 2021. Until 2016 he was a rider at Ludger Beerbaum Stable, then he started his own sport stable close to Bonn in Germany.
Von Eckermann's career highlights include numerous victories and podium finishes in prestigious competitions around the globe, including the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ series and the Olympic Games. His partnership with top horses has been instrumental in his success, showcasing his ability to form strong connections with his equine partners.
Known for his calm demeanor, focus, and tactical approach to riding, Henrik von Eckermann consistently delivers impressive performances in the show jumping arena. Off the field, he is admired for his sportsmanship and professionalism, serving as a role model for aspiring riders worldwide.
