This video is a compilation of all the GregTech Guides I have published. The narrator is GregoriousT (ru-vid.com/show-UChj7..., which is not to be confused with Greg. Build by Sampsa.
The fact i'm so used to hearing Regian's robot voice that for a while i thought the person i was listening to was some person invited as a guest to narrate the videos
Hey you did compile them all in one video, nice, i remember watching these when i started playing greg when igblon got favored by the algorithm and i learned about the mod
One thing that should be mentioned about loss, is that if you transform a lower voltage into a higher voltage first, the overall EU loss per block will be reduced. This is actually how electricity operates in real life, and why transmission and distribution lines are stepped up to higher voltages and then stepped back down at the destination.
Transforming or buffering your power will also reset your energy losses. It's common to use repeating transformers that don't change the voltage to reset the loss/distance irl
@@jllemin4 No so sure about the "resetting loss irl" part, as that doesn't seem possible with real physics. Once the energy is lost to heat it's lost to heat. You can't magically get it back with a 1:1 transformer. In fact this would just result in further loss as transformers have some amount of energy loss due to eddy currents and hysteresis. That being said, you can supplement the lost power with more local power producers.
@@beewyka819 I was definetly misinterpreting using a tranfo to run a longer distance by making the loss negligible with transformers being able to stabilize a voltage loss. Thanks for the correction.
Honestly I think there is no need to go past 2k voltage. I'm a very long term player and you can just make machines or recepies that need more amps. 8k and above are just pure grind to sink time
I have only ever made it to Iv after like 300 hours or smth on nomifactory gtceu (hard mode) and only ever made it to Lv in gtnh because for bored XDD I tried to run a server after I got to Iv on my own but it kinda failed Xddddd
You forgot the step of having a powerful computer! Fun fact... if you think your computer is not powerful enough... it probably isn't strong enough...!
...So what no one bothers explaining is, is GregTech at it's core modding IC2 and AE2 and pretty much requires them to do anything significant? And why bother? It comes across like people do GregTech stuff for the sake of completing GregTech? People say "automate everything" but it always seems more like a black hole of "make GregTech stuff to get more GregTech stuff". There's a lot of assumed knowledge.
You dont need IC2 or AE2 to play GT. IC2 though is very helpful so is AE2, but SUSY doesnt have AE2 and still has a decent progression. And yes its basically just make one GT machine to allow you to make more machines easier and the cycle continues you make Greg to obtain new Greg. Its not very beginner friendly and honestly the best way is to go in and just mess around. I started out on GTNH and have a pretty decent understanding of it after blowing up about 50 machines and making awful pipe spaghetti
I'm not playing this, its too complicated and it is literally Minecraft. I would rather play Factorio or Satisfactory instead, but I don't like those games, so I won't.
