The PBIX file you can get from the link in the description. To get the JSON file for the map, change the extension of the pbix file to zip and get it from there.
This design is super impressive but honestly, the amount of work that goes into designing something like that is quite astonishing. You are 100% right that until you create one of your own, you will not understand. We now need a challenge to show our own to prove we actually tried, Ruth :) I think i will go looking for suitable datasets.
@@CurbalEN My question is it worth the effort when you have to maintain a beast like that? What happens when people want changes? I'm a less is more kind of a guy in a case like this.
I meant for learning purposes, that map is not great for business reports unless you use it for marketing purposes :) There are a lot of great lessons to be learned on that report that can be used elsewhere beyond the shape map :)
@@CurbalEN COuld you elaborate more on this point, please? I'm learning about reports dince I just got a new job and I'm trying to understand what is it that makes a good report and is the first time I read that is good for marketing but bad for business?

Hi miss , I want to ask you. I have a table in my model for the list of countries, I want to filter by these countries, when I do it , I want to select a measure I created and called "Number of employees" by city. In this map when I for instance filter "France" , it shows the colors of the cities of France that have the most employees in that Country

Hi Ruth, I also saw the Report from Will, where I got stuck was at the silicer i managed to get the unique value slicer but it did not propagate to the above visual. Any solution for that?
I got the json file and added in the map type, and enabled the zoom but the map doesnt do anything. also the color of the map in grey. Do I need to enable any other options? My power Bi version is Version: 2.120.963.0 64-bit (August 2023). Please advise. Thanks.

I've converted to zip extracted the 2 Jason but none of them work. Someone managed to get it? Also saw it it was made with an PBI extension icon map. Someone know a video tutorial on how to create a shape map likes that from zero? Please referee there link to the video. Thanks

The name should be "USA" in your dataset. Other names such as "United States of America", "United States" etc... are not recognised because the json file uses the term "USA". So replace the value as USA in your dataset and you would get the expected result
