(This is how I learned it) Stack a bunch of pillows on top of a soft surface and just fall back and place your hands on the ground and flip over. Then, progress yourself to just jump into that. Once you have that, attempt a backhandpsring on the pillows. Once you record yourself and see you don’t use the stacked pillows, keep removing them until you just do it on a soft surface. Btw I know your comment was posted 4 years ago but if you don’t still have it you can use that method and anybody else reading this comment.
Thank you! I'm a beginning gymnast, officially. I taught myself a lot as a kid and now im stoked on giving it another go. I already had one class, next is tomorrow. Your techniques are very specific, so I caught on and practiced the postures. Hoping my buddy will help me out by spotting me tomorrow
Barbie and dances I am 15 and trying out for cheerleading . I have never done it until this year , it just takes time and patience and you can't be afraid ! Believe you can do it and you can ☺
best tutorials subbed and upvoted for you guys ;) Doing a planche, handstand pushups and one armed pullups are kinda easy for me but doin backsprings and backflips is like freakin impossible, so your vids rly helpin me ^^
Omg...Thanks so much...I’ve been practicing backhand springs for sometime but I couldn’t stop landing on my head but now I understand how it’s works and starts landing on my hands😚✨✨
This is a great tutorial. I have my back handspring, but, with being a cheer leader, the learning got rushed so I didn't get the correct form. I can do them fine, they just don't look good and the technique is horrible. I think this tutorial really explains what I'm doing wrong so well, and it will probably help a lot. Thank you!
thank u! u made me come to my senses about my problem!! I throw my head back and the coaches said my hips go forward and I didn't know how they did! but now I know thank u so much!!
This video was very very helpful. You were right, back hand springs are very complicated and I was way over simplifying it, which actually made it harder. I think I'll get it soon 👌✨
Wes Tavares The one inch punch a concept taught in wing chun/jeet kune do states that you generate more power up close for example a bullet fired from a gun generates more power than a arrow fired from a bow because of economy of motion ;i pretty sure there is more to it but that is a general gist of the concept.
woah, I watched this before my classic mechanics and electromechanics final test and I got the power questions right!!! power=energy/time=m*v^2/t=F*d/t=F*v This is so helpful! Thanks mr. backhand spring guy!
He makes it seem really complex. Most of this comes naturally especially if you've done gymnastics or something like it before. If you're really scared then try it on the trampoline or on a mat or mattress so you have a soft landing :) Good luck!
@AnomalyFreerunning ha ha my heart's big!! btw your last demonstration of epic fail on the mattresses in part 2 is exactly how I do my back handspring now - my teacher's scared to spot me which is rather upsetting lol. I'm very pretty though ;p
Do it in a trampoline if you're scared, you'll get extra height and even if you land on your head it won't hurt as bad because the trampoline will absorb all the impact and your head won't.
