This is one of the better explanations of maiden races. The handicapping advice is as good as you can get without factoring pace, or even class for the most part, but I stopped wagering on maiden races 26 years ago and I have no regrets. One exception is if I have strong picks in two legs of a pick 3 with a maiden being a leg, then I will ALL the maiden race and hope for a long shot. Honestly that’s the only wagering value I can find in maiden races.
