VIDEO DESCRIPTION - This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this super adorable seasonal holiday winter image of "Gift Giving Gnome" with acrylic paint. You'll learn simple drawing and painting techniques that will help you to create this cute character who is holding a giant present on his lap. With a large cozy fluffy hat, warm mittens and boots, he's ready to brave the cold elements that the winter season may bring. You'll learn how to create dimension in the body, head and box using various painting techniques to include stippling and blending and adding highlight and shadows in the proper places to create a 3-d illusion that will make the elements appear to pop right out of the canvas. The small elf like character will come to life with his hands holding tight to the gift and his round nose peeking out over the top of the box. Perhaps the present is too big for him to walk with and it has knocked him on his butt! Use your imagination as you create this illustrative piece. Perhaps you have him holding a candy cane, a birthday surprise, or a stuffed animal, maybe your box is blue or purple, or perhaps he has a striped or patterned hat. The long flowing beard will add movement to the painting and provide a soft cushiony place for the present to rest. This holiday image can be inspired by Christmas, or any special gift giving event that is meaningful to you. Let it be an enchanting addition to decorate your home or the walls of another. Using only 3 brushes and 6 colors we'll create this conversational masterpiece with a ridiculously charming sweet plush gnome cartoon figure. So let's get painting and let's get sipping!
