So in OTHER words. Get the image on the switch. Set that file as the boot variable (the command is "boot system "). And wr and reload. The switch will read the start up config for the IOS it should boot into, aka the boot varible we set earlier and boot into it. Hence why we had to save the config (wr) and reload.

Really a great video. Very very informative. Though, I wish you could use bigger fonts on putty.

Can you use the Console USB port instead of the Console RJ45 port?

if any of you get stuck @4:24 at the conf command with an invalid command error, type the command enable and it will prompt for your router password, this will elevate you to a privileged EXEC console and allow that command, and many others.
