@@chizusakuraaidk if it’s really another way because you do get slightly different answers. And in a fill-in-the blank question, you’d get it wrong if you don’t cross multiply… but I’m still unsure why you need to cross multiply

If we divide two fractions, we can swap one of the fractions around and multiply instead. In the video they're cutting corners a little. At 0:55 you see it best. Odds that a case was exposed = Diseased people exposed÷Diseased people unexposed = A÷C Odds that a control was exposed = not diseased exposed ÷ not diseased not exposed = B÷D Odds rate = (A÷C) ÷ (B÷D) = AD÷BC
