Hi Christine, I hope that you can see this message. I went through all 10 lessons and learned a lot. I took my time to memorize all the phrases and practice them with my Korean clients at work. They first didn't believe that I can learn a new language out of blue. But now they cheer for me every day. Thank you very much for your wonderful entry-level lessons. I’m here to learn a few simple things before traveling to Korea. I always think Korean language is so difficult to learn and when I was there few years ago, I couldn’t pick anything except “thank you “ and “hello” ( which later I realized I ha e pronounced them wrongly 😜) Surprisingly, with Christine lesson, I could say more accurately and able to remember better. Thank you Christine ❤️👏🏼

in case of korean, korean's word order is contrary to english's word order ; english goes in S-V-O, but korean goes in S-O-V, and korean has particle(aka 조사josa) which adds after noun or verb, indicating which is subject or object. most different thing , i think is the way of expression. it doesnt mean grammer or sentence. for example, when you get lost , you may say "where am I?". but if you were a korean, you have to say "여기가 어디지?(where is here?)" of course by direct translation you can say "나는 어디에 있지?(where am I?)" then you can make yourself clear, others can understand what you mean. but it is a little bit akward expression. so you should say "여기가 어디지(where is here)?" instead of "나는 어디에 있지?(where am I?". like this example, korean and english are different in not only grammer, but also the way of expression. there are other many examples of difference of the expression. :)
