Thank you 🙏. There are various qualities for the Saz Baglama, I think you need something in between. If you have someone that can help you choose - that knows the instrument that’s the best. If you want to learn the instrument, you’re welcome to my English language online course (for a long neck, and there is also for short neck) that is very successful. Many people on all over the world have taken it and learn how to play. you can find it over here: baraksaz.com They’re also good deals on a course + instrument : baraksaz.com/saz-baglama-online-shop/#instruments Anyhow, good luck and enjoy your journeys

@@BarakSazBaglama I would love to take a course to learn. Can I ask what you think a good budget is to have for a middle of the road baglama (probably short neck, not cheap but not too expensive) to Make it easier to take with me on the plane?

@@RedMcc it will usually be from around $40-$2000. I think what you’re looking for is supposed to be between 150 to 450 $ Again, the best way is to go with somebody who has experience with the instrument and can check the instrument for you and then you can find cheaper one

Hello master, I m from Greece. I d like to ask you what exactly means baglama. Why this instrument has this name?
@hakanuzumcu4754
@hakanuzumcu4754 16 дней назад
baglama means tied or wound.. referring to the strings.. soft G. literally translates to "saz tied/wound/strung"
@kostasmichos8945
@kostasmichos8945 14 дней назад
@@hakanuzumcu4754 Disagree. Baglama comes from the verb "baglamak". It is distinct. And the reason this musical instrument is so called is figurative and not literal. They called it Baglama, not because it "stirs" anything, but because it looks like a ladle (ie an object used to stir food). So when in the old days they asked to catch this instrument, they said "grab the baglama", meaning "grab the spoon".

Hello do you have or are you planning on filming any videos or courses on the cura saz? Thank you very much

Hi Congratulations it’s a beautiful instrument ✨ The teaching for Cura is exactly like the teaching for the long/short neck Saz online courses. I would recommend you to take the short neck online course - with the Cura, many people from all over the world, took the short neck course with a Cura (Jura) end it went great for them. They progressed a lot. baraksaz.com/learn-how-to-play-short-saz-baglama/ you can lower the strings just for the time you’re taking the course (it would sound a bit loose, but it’s OK. You can take the course with it and after you finish and learn everything you can bring it back to the normal position,) so you can practice together on the same note as the course ,after you finish the course you can tighten the strings again. I recommend the short neck because the Cura will be more close to it - to compare the notes for them to be the same -it’s possible to lower the notes of the Cura to reach the short neck notes - to be able to take the course with it The Cura is usually tuned: A (la) (bottom string close to the floor) D (re) middle string E (mi) upper string close to the ceiling (sometimes its one note down/lower) To take the short neck course, you should lower the strings, so your Cura will be tuned: E (mi) (bottom string close to the floor) A (la) middle string B (si ) upper string close to the ceiling This is the tuning lesson on RU-vid for short neck. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L67LiQ8QVEc.html You can lower the strings and make the Cura the same. It’s only for the duration of the course afterwards you can make the strings as they should be again You have everything you need to learn on how to play on the Cura - in the short neck course - I really recommend it
